This is just me but that is why the The9 came to fkup the game but this is just me talking to the stars
I loved the graphics and gameplay, coral forest was my favorite area, so beautiful. One of the things i liked in the game was the open world and the easter eggs you could find.
Another was the fighting, if a party was on a quest taking out a mob and you helped you got rewarded too, which took away people whinging about killstealing.
It was mainly the last 2 big updates that ruined it for me and just about everyone else, taking the game in a direction we didnt like.
I'm not going to hold my breath for Em8er.
I and most of my army have moved to Project Genom, it's had a shaky start but the big content patch will be coming soon. FF's reward system is meant to be in Project Genom too
Might see you there, check out the newsletters and my review.
EDIT: Links for those that need.

This was an FPS with jetpacks that had some traditional MMO trappings, and it was free, so I tried it, and ended up getting way into it. I gained an appreciation for the community aspect of MMO's that I didn't have before, for that feeling of being in this place populated by other people that feels like a home away from home in ways that other kinds of games can't. And I have to say, I'm going to miss it terribly. All the sights and sounds, the places, the players and interactions through chat and open world events and hardcore missions and raids and hijinks and so on. I haven't really played in over a year now (1.7 kind of killed it for me), but I still treasure all of it.
It's the first time I've played a game that made such deep impressions on me that I won't ever be able to go back to (not even an empty version of it to just remember things). It's all relegated to my memories and some videos on the internet now.
To wasting time in Copa.
To leashing invincible brontodons into places they're not supposed to be (mostly Copa).
To human trees stacked to the heavens.
To punting (Pez punting especially).
To my beloved snow angel wings, pre-1.6.
To flipping haulers upside-down at Sagan, post-1.6.
To the ever-iconic death squads and their executioners.
To classic BK, nados, squad thumping, OCT, Skydock, and everything else we did to pass the time.
To all this and more - I'll remember it forever. Thanks for all the fun times, guys.
The game could have been turned around. It just needed reinvestment. Still so much potential.
And now they're making a mobile game? What kind of a joke is that? Would it really have hurt them so much just to keep the servers running and handle maintenance?
I didn't play much since the last two patches...very little, but that was only because I have so many other games to play. I regret not spending more time with it in the end, but I definitely packed in the time before that.
FF, you will be missed dearly.
When Em8er has a solid version up and running, and i can test it, i might give it a shot.
When Project Genom is out of the alpha and early access stage, and offers a free test version, i might give it a shot.

Defiance is F2P, therefore easy to get in, and easy to move on, when something better comes along.
