god mode is a team play maze style third person shooter, the game itself is simple, beat the maze, upgrade your character, invite some friends, and beat another maze, upgrade your character... ect.
the game got bad reviews, i would like to give this game a good review, because although it does suffer from a lack of originality and falls dangerously close into becoming a cliche, i liked it, it is reminiscent of a type of gameplay that i think has started to disapear from the mainstream in leiu of more complexly engineered titles, it's something like an old school hack and slash you could play with your buddies.... as a reference I used to enjoy a good game of gauntlet when i was a kid, and that is what this game reminded me of, a kind of dungeon or maze environment for you and your buddies to just go ham. its a linear style gameplay, it requires little thought, there are no puzzles to speak of, no tedious tasks to forfil, you have one task, kill as many damned enemies as you can see before they can kill you. the graphics and animations are pretty, the controls are responsive, the bad guys all look pretty evil, its satisfying punching a way through the hordes of skelletons with your pistol out screaming, damn you hades.
i liked it enough to buy it, and thats saying something since i usually restrict myself to a diet of free to play only games, this one seemed worth the purchase, that is until i found out that no one plays god mode and you might as well just get an offline hacked copy since the official servers are completely dead. its a shame really, its a fun game,, the developers should have worked harder at maintaining a following, perhaps a free mode to keep the servers active.
anyway a good review here, i think its due, it is fun... and thats all a game needs to be.
