Effective for hourly wage jobs?
Hi, I was just wondering if this software was effective for anyone working an hourly wage job. This program seems geared (under first impressions) towards people that have a designated salary. I'm a college student, and currenly work anywere from 15-25 hours a week so it's difficult to estimate how much income I'll be recieving. Thanks!!

Hi Alain,
The software was actually designed initially for people who weren't receiving a steady income, so it should fit your situation perfectly. Rule 4 of our method (live on last month's income) was created to make it so at the beginning of each month you can budget out for the whole month, instead of worrying about what your income is.

Most people don't start with a full month's income sitting in their account though, so you'll want to enter your income and budget as you receive it: http://www.youneedabudget.com/support/article/entering-income
Each month try and set aside a little more income to budget for the following month, and after a little while you'll find it much easier to deal with having a variable income.

Check out the method here: http://www.youneedabudget.com/method
We offer a free e-book (it should be included as the manual in the Steam version of the software, but you can grab it at that page too), as well as free online classes, and tons of support. Our forums are also full of super-handy people who will help you out as well ( http://www.youneedabudget.com/forum/ ).

Cheers.
