License work on other computers?

If I buy the program from their website I get to use it on all my computers.. If I buy it on steam can I do the same (I don't want to have to install Steam just to install this on my wife's laptop)?

You can indeed.
Open your Steam-purchased copy and select Help->About, and there is a button that will copy your license key. You can then download the trial from our website on to your wife's laptop, and use the key you have copied to activate that copy.

I have a similar issue. I wish to share my budget file with my wife, but she obviously won't be running my Steam login. The two computers I'd normally use it with don't normally run Steam either. We'd all be using the same budget file. The budget file was created on the Steam version I purchased and synced via a shared Dropbox. I'm hoping that this won't cause too much excitement.

I should have done a little more research before buying. But still, I'd never have even noticed YNAB if it wasn't on Steam. :-)

From looking at the mobile support site I'm aware of the fixed location of Dropbox/YNAB and will be sharing that folder with my wife (who uses a different dropbox account). We use shared dropbox folders for other things so that shouldn't be a problem.
