Mobile apps are now free!

Hey all,

We've heard a bunch of requests asking that the mobile apps for YNAB be bundled into the cost of YNAB, and we agree. Starting today, we’re making our mobile apps free for both iPhone and Android. If you’ve been on the fence about whether $5 is worth it, I guess now that question should be answered :) Download the iPhone or Android app (on Google Play[market.android.com] only for now; we are still waiting on Amazon[www.amazon.com] approval).

Using one of the mobile apps makes YNAB even better, you can check your category balances and enter any transactions you make on the fly. The geolocation feature for payees is in for Android now as well, meaning the app will remember where you were when you entered a transaction, and will default to the chosen payee again next time you're in that location. And it all syncs in real-time via dropbox.

I bought it 2 days ago on Google Play :( What a bad timing...

Anyways, it's a really great app, and that's good news for all those who did not use it before.

It's really hard to drop the price on an app - there's always going to be a cut-off, and there's always going to be some people who just miss out.

With the free release, there is an update which includes Geo-smart payees, so make sure you update to get those!

Will you please consider making an Ipad app? Maybe something a bit more complete with some of the functions of the desktop version of YNAB. Thank you!

We haven't got any plans for a Windows phone version right now (there's just not enough people using them to justify the extra costs involved for a small team). However, we are looking into a web version that could be accessed by any mobile device, but that is also a long way off, I'm afraid :(

Thanks a lot for that i discovered it accidentally and thought it was a mistake! :D
Anyway some minor options could be included in the mobile version i find the app very minimalistic, some minor change abilities to the budget would be great!
Anyway keep it up love the service!

Not right now, but we are starting work on a web app to ensure everyone can access their budget. It's a long way off yet though - we're just starting.
