This game is surprisingly good!
These days, the word 'simulator' at the end of a game is often a bad thing, but not here.
The game is really detailed - you have control over your truck in a way I've never seen in a driving simulator. lights, high beams, seat adjustment, mirror adjustment, realistic gearbox, windscreen wipers, cruise control, manual ignition. if the function exists in a real truck, you can likely do it in this game. Not to mention truck customization and company management.
The world is detailed too. I live in stockholm, and I can actually recognize the roads and landmarks I drive past in game. I keep going "holy crap, I've been here!" - the game even features a radio system that will livestream actual webradio stations into your game, so you can listen to what's actually airing on the road where you're driving. Add to that countless little things that pop up in the landscape for you to see on your journey
It's actually a bit of a challenge. You have to keep your cargo safe and drive legally, so you can't just barrel down the road like a maniac. You need to check your mirrors, mind the traffic and follow road signs. Trying to reverse a long haul truck with cargo is also much more difficult than it looks and delivering cargo to a shipping dock often involves a lot of patience and relearning how to drive, in a sense.
Let's face it, there's no assault rifles in this game, and nothing explodes. Most of the time you're just on a highway going form A to B - but that's actually nice. If you just wanna take 20 minutes to step away from it all (or a few hours), it's very very relaxing to just let the road roll by. Like all the most addictive flash games, it's not super exciting or crazy awesome - it just keeps you hooked and happy.
