[HOW TO] Logitech G27 RPM Leds with FanaLEDS (Working)
Hello Euro Truck Drivers, here i give you the steps to make the Logitech G27 RPM Leds work with ETS2 via FanaLEDS Software.

Please note: Versión v1.4.1 of ETS2 is Required for this to work due to it's new Telemetry Info Output.
If you have the retail version of ETS2, go here to download the update: http://www.eurotrucksimulator2.com/update.php
If you have the Steam versión, right-click in the game, select Properties, select Betas tab, then select "temporary141 - Temporary 1.4.1 for early Access..." from the dropdown menú and select close to begin update (This is temporary until the update will be released in Steam).

Ok, now that you have ETS2 v1.4.1 Installed and working, follow this simple steps.

1) Download and Install FanaLEDS from here: http://fanaleds.com/downloads

2) Once FanaLEDs is installed, go to the installation folder (ex: C:\Program Files (x86)\FanaLEDs), and there is a folder with the name "additional" (these are the plugins needed for games to talk with the software). We need the ones for ETS2, so we enter in the folder "ETS2 Plugin". Here is a file with the name "FanaLEDsPluginETS2.dll"

3) Copy the file "FanaLEDsPluginETS2.dll" into the ETS2 game installation folder to this especific location:
Retail: C:\Program Files (x86)\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x86\plugins
Steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x86\plugins
You will recieve an information dialog when running ETS2 about the existance of this plugins to know if you have installed it correctly. Now the ETS2 will load that plugin and will "talk" with the FanaLEDS software.
Note: Use your common sense to get to this folders. The folder "plugins" doesn't exists by default, so just create it.

4) Start the FanaLEDs software and in the main window, select "Euro Truck Simulator 2" from the "Active profile" dropdown menu. Leave the software opened, you can minimize that window.

5) Start ETS2, accept the dialog about "aditional software detected" and that's it.

Now you have the Logitech G27 Leds showing your truck RPMs.

Hope this helps,
Atte, Kylix Mynx AltoLAG.

thanks!! now I'll see if it works :)
It's still working, and now you don't have to download the beta, the release of telemetry has gone live yesterday in Steam :steerme:

Mine are working, but they are lighting up late. My RPM's are way high by the time they decide to light up D:

needs a profile made for it, very easy to do. Click Advanced tab, then Car settings and you can adjust the lights to come on at differant RPMs, I have been working on it but I still need 3 more trucks set right.

I have it set to start to the lights at about 1100 then flash at 2300 RPM

Thank you for this! I ran across this discusssion last night and, following your advice, got the lights on my wheel functional. I even figured out how to set the ranges for them depending on the truck I'm driving. It adds a nice touch.

I very much appreciate you taking the time to explain how to do this. Kudos to you!
