cheat engine is a little program there can find your money in the profile so you can change it, but be careful. If you not have done it before look up some videos on YOU TUBE how you do it.

Cheat engine is easy, works every time.

[EDIT] It may be necessary to make sure the currency is set to Euros before trying the Cheat Engine method. This is because the program may internally track your money value in Euros and subsequently convert that Euro value to whatever value you have set the currency to.

Run ETS2. Look at your money value, write it down.
Alt-tab to your desktop. Run Cheat Engine, go to File->Open process, open ETS2 found in the list, type in your current money value, press"first scan" button.
Go back to ETS2 (alt-tab). Go to a Repair Shop, buy something.
Look at your money value now, it should be different than before buying something, write it down.
Go to Cheat Engine (alt-tab), type in new money value (your current value), press "Next scan" button.

Cheat Engine should now display ONE memory address. It it does not (more than one address shown) then buy something else, enter new value and scan again. Repeat until one address is shown.

If no address is shown then you've probably entered an incorrect value. Start over.

Double click the address. In the window pane below, double click the value, change the value.

You can now close Cheat Engine anytime. Go back to ETS2, exit the Repair Shop. Your money value should now be what you typed into Cheat Engine.

You might want to backup your savegame and profile before attempting this.

Not hard. Select the game on cheat engine. Write your currently money on first scan area, than scan it. After that, click the little arrow on the left then select all from bottom and click right mouse then enter your new value. If give an error, try with different numbers.

But I don`t recommend that. Because cheating will put the dampers on you while playing a few times later... Game became boring.

I do not recommend this particular method because you would be changing unknown values in the game which may change things you do not wish to change. You want to change ONLY the money value, that is why you do a second scan.

is this save in steam version?
zbobg Nov 10, 2013 @ 10:07pm
ETS2 savegames are the same for the Steam version and the Retail version.

Also... If you are going to start a new profile or are not reluctant to abandon a current profile you can change a variable in the \def\initial_save\normal\game.sii file, put this in a Mod, start a new profile and it will give any amount of starting money that you would like.

Change the line:
money_account: 2000
to any amount you like such as:
money_account: 5000000

This is the stock v1.7 file:
SiiNunit
{

economy: .economy
{
new_game: true

player: .player
bank: .bank
game_progress: .progress
event_queue: .events
police_ctrl: .police
mail_ctrl: .mailbox
delivery_log: .delivery_log

@include "locked_screens.sii"

// Starting time in minutes.

game_time: 600
}

bank: .bank
{
money_account: 2000
app_enabled: false
}

game_progress: .progress
{
}

economy_event_queue: .events
{
}

police_ctrl: .police
{
offence_timer: 6
offence_timer[0]: 0
offence_timer[1]: 0
offence_timer[2]: 0
offence_timer[3]: 0
offence_timer[4]: 0
offence_timer[5]: 0
offence_counter: 6
offence_counter[0]: 0
offence_counter[1]: 0
offence_counter[2]: 0
offence_counter[3]: 0
offence_counter[4]: 0
offence_counter[5]: 0
offence_valid: 6
offence_valid[0]: false
offence_valid[1]: false
offence_valid[2]: false
offence_valid[3]: false
offence_valid[4]: false
offence_valid[5]: false
}

mail_ctrl: .mailbox
{
}

player: .player
{
}

delivery_log: .delivery_log
{
}
}

You only need this Mod when first starting a profile, once you have started a new profile you can remove the Mod.
