if you have disabled fuel consumption simulation, the game works as before - fuel consumption is computed purely from eco driving skill.
if you have enabled fuel consumption simulation, then consumption is computed from your driving style.
Air brake simulation, well, simulates having air brakes. Which also means you cannot drive unless you have pressure for them.
love having both these options, they add a nice feel of realism to the game.
no clue what he's on about, never used anything but keyboard and it works perfectly with or without airbraking simulation enabled.
zbobg know more about this game than most. That's why I'm curious why he said that, because it does seem to work exactly the way it should, even with keyboard driving.
Now, there is the possibility that SCS has changed the behavior of the Air Brake when the user is using keyboard controls. Maybe in the latest patches it (the air supply) is less sensitive than it was when originally released.
I use a G27 and have never had a low air problem, except when I deliberately pumped the brakes to see if the air would run out. It did but it took a lot of pumping the brakes.
ahh, well I don't hardly use my brakes at all, except to come to a final stop or make a rare emergency stop. Guess that could be why they seem to work for me.
I therefore assume it remains accurately modelled regardless of control system employed - but I may be wrong.
Doesn't stop me wanting a G27 though...
