Question on whether to buy really for 1 idea....
Hello,

I just got my second monitor setup and I am having a little annoyance.

I have Skype on the second monitor so I can see who is online etc, but if someone sends me a message I must ALT+TAB out the game to bring up the message, which still loads on monitor 1....

So I am thinking about Driver Fusion because I was told it is good for multimonitor, but do I really need to spend £23 (I think it is that price) for just a simple feature which is all I want?

I do not need the extra taskbar style thing because I have everything I want in one, same as wallpaper etc I am happy with the same one across, and I am more or less confused really. Infact all the other features I do not need or want really (True I have not properly looked into the software full range over features, but I only use the second monitor for web browsing and holding my Skype client and chats... so every other feature to me is useless)

If I get the free Display Fusion will I be able to do what I want as stated above?

I only want to have Skype and Steam messages open on the second screen..... So I can view and read before I shift+tab or ALT+TAB to reply depending on the software message I receive.

Thank you very much for taking the time to help me!

Unfortunately the Window Location and Prevent Window Deactivation features are only available in the Pro version. However, your feedback is definitely appreciated, and if we make any changes to the Free/Pro features in the future, we'll definitely keep this in mind.

Thanks!

Men you may think you don't want them now but if you ever add another monitor, or just keep it at two, or use Eyeinfinity or Surroun, this app is great for controlling where and how windows open (I hated them opeing across all my monitors ) . IMO the monitor splitting and windows location functions alone are worth the $$ especially if you use Eyeinfinity or Surround. I must admit I bought it on sale from there site as like you I didn't think I needed it all and thought it was too high priced. However the more I play with its options the more I love this thing and if I had to do it all over again wouldn't blink an eye buying it here full price.

And in case you haven't noticed the developer support here is top notch bar none which is always nice to have.

Right okay thank you for the heads up just spending all that money for a little feature which is all I want to do is wasted money you know.

You do realize if they gave every 'little' feature anyway for free, they'd have no income?

Customer logic.

LOL, they need to earn their money too you know. Why include the "premium" features for free? What incentive is there to purchase thereafter? I run 3 monitors, soon to be 4. There is a reason it's premium. As a smart developer, you would likely put the more wanted/requested features in a paid version. They need to eat too.

I am not going on about all the features all the premium features. The entire program.

You clearly do not understand and have no logic.

Why should i spend all that money for one feature? Literally one feature is all I care about which is fine. I downloaded free software which does the feature I want.

Yes this software might be best but for the money and only one use I want, it is not worth it.

You would not buy a car but still take the bus would you...

I do not understand logic? Did you read what you wrote before posting? I as a developer myself will not make 30 versions of my software based off of specific feature sets. No matter if you needed 1 feature or 4 of them is irrelevant. A premium feature in software is locked away because that's what the developer felt was worth the $$.

You quite honestly do not understand logic yourself if this has to be explained to you as you keep harping about needing "only 1 feature and all that money for 1 feature".

I own DF and i sure didn't buy it for even half the features. I use maybe 2 since Windows 8 comes with multi task bar. I needed that feature set, so i paid. That's how the world works.

I cannot believe you're using analogies between car/bus with something as basic as this.

Even though i can still take a bus, i do prefer the "feature" of driving myself somewhere once in awhile, therefore buying a car becomes a good purchase. Ironic part of that is, it's true as i do this in my every day life. Transit is primary, car is secondary.

---
All this aside. Anyone with any "logic" would do this...

You run a pros and cons list. Pros are? Cons are? Which wins? Ok you need only 1 feature, how much do you need it? Don't harp on a developer forum because you find it unfair. Find a freeware software to do what you need. If there are none, purchase this during a sale or buy it outright. That is basic knowledge and i wouldn't have been on your case in this response if you didn't try and insult me about not understanding and having no logic.

Also as developer, and, logical person, I agree with the above post 100%.
