Lock/Unlock mouse options?
For example, if I'm playing a game full screen on one monitor can I lock the mouse to one screen? More importantly, can I unlock the mouse to one screen so that I can have full screen on one monitor and look up something on the internet on another monitor without having to alt+tab or minimize?

I'm 100% sure you can do the former

For the latter, you can definitely do so if the game/applicaton is FSW (full screen windowed), but I'm not so sure about normal FS.

There some multiple monitor software that let's you do the latter (http://www.actualtools.com/multiplemonitors/), but I was wondering if DF could do it?

Any of the devs care to answer?

On the Settings > Functions tab, the Functions in the Mouse Cursor section will help with the first request.

For the second one, the "Prevent Window Deactivation" Function in the Settings > Functions > Window Management section should do the trick. Note that not all games play nicely with this Function. I'd recommend giving the 30-day trial a go before purchasing. You can download it here: http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/

Thanks!

I can't find the Prevent Window Deactivation Function listed in the the Settings/Windows Mangagement section? I checked in the Advanced section under Windows Management and couldn't see anything called Prevent Window Deactivation either.

I've been banging my head against the wall trying to lock my mouse with every suggestion I've found on the forums here and on the DF website... nothing works whether I have the game in windowed mode or full screen. Even set up short cut keys in the Mouse functions area to try and lock my mouse with the method of trying trial and error thing. The mouse still drifts off to my secondary monitor and activates programs open listed on my task bar.

I like the program, it has features in it I've long since wanted!!! Even the simple thing of changing my logon window instead of the bland Windows splash... I also like the extra task bar... at least when I'm not in game. I'm starting to think I may have to shut down DF while I'm in game. :(

However, now that it's being sold on Steam there will have to be an update to the currect Steam DF version so that it is friendlier to games. I have dual monitors and I'm using the extra task bar feature of DF. However I've went into DF about a dozen times trying to lock my mouse on my game using various functions I saw and nothing works.

What I would suggest is you create an additional section in the settings just for games, and have a game mode where it doesn't disable the feature games naturally have of locking the mouse so it doesn't move around inadvertently activating windows behind the game, and even tinkering with things on the secondary monitor task bar.

If Firewall software can have a game mode, then DF should create a game mode as well.

Currently there is something about DF that is not friendly to the game and disables the locking feature games normally have with the mouse so it stays in the game. This endless tweaking I've had to randomly try from others suggestions to try and rememdy the situation is time consuming and pretty much a head ache. Please take the thinking out of it for multiple monitor gamers like myself and just have a setting added like game mode. :)

@Jane_Denton: My post may have been a little confusing. The Prevent Window Deactivation Function is in the "Window Management" section of the Functions list on the Settings > Functions tab. However, that Function won't help with the issue you're running into.

For your issue, I wasn't able to reproduce it here. I play games frequently on multiple systems, all with DisplayFusion running and haven't run into that issue.

You mentioned the DisplayFusion taskbar, if you disable just the taskbar (Settings > Taskbar tab) without exiting DisplayFusion, does that resolve the issue?
