Is the v5.0 Steam license not usable on non-Steam version? Please change!
I think the subject says it all, but I just wanted to note that I ran the trial for a few days on the non-Steam version at work (where I don't run Steam at all). I then bought the product, installed it at home, grabbed the license key out of my home machine, and tried pasting it to my work machine. It doesn't let me use that key though.

Would you please allow the non-Steam version to work with the Steam keys as well please? I don't want to install Steam at work; I don't think they would like that.

Thanks!

The Steam-licensed version of DisplayFusion is designed to only run where you use Steam, sorry. It's not an unlimited computer license, unless you can run Steam at your work.

Dealbreaker.

Fair enough I guess. I think this is going to be something folks tend to use for work more though since most of us have little call for multiple monitors outside of a work environment. It might bear considering a little more rather than dismissing it out of hand. You can see from Purge's post the kind of reaction restrictions like this can cause.

So, if I use Steam to install it at work, can I uninstall Steam at that point and have DF continue to function?

DisplayFusion just needs to be installed from Steam, but it doesn't require Steam to be running on that machine ever again. All updates and future versions will be loaded directly from our servers if Steam isn't running. So to answer your question, yes, it will still work. :)
