No one in their right mind would pay $30 for this
Plenty of free tools out there

MultiWall: powerful tool for downloading and displaying multi-monitor wallpaper
Dual Monitor Taskbar: extend the taskbar to additional monitors
Swap Screen: send the active window to various locations on different screens, via hotkey
SoftTH: span DirectX games across multiple monitors
Dual Display Mouse Manager: prevent the mouse from accidentally moving across screens (or ‘teleport’ it to other screens on demand)
GridMove: snap your windows to pre-defined regions on any screen

One could also go use linux instead of buying this software.
hammer9 29. März 2013 um 12:36 Uhr
yeah, they are way off on the price. wow. just wow.

What you don't seem to grasp is that you're paying for the legitimacy and support that comes with purchasing software on Steam.

I have used the some of the software in your post and a lot of is buggy and offers no support.

While I think $30 is a bit high, it's not "no one in their right mind would pay $30 for it" high.

Quite honestly I am speechless seeing that price as well. There are free solutions available, and they *do* work. While Greg is right that they are less polished, and that the support might not be just as good, I still find that 30$ is too high!
Rhenthyl 29. März 2013 um 13:01 Uhr
there is a free version of this software as well

Why did they let this overpriced piece of ♥♥♥♥ on steam in the first place?
Rhenthyl 29. März 2013 um 13:17 Uhr
because people voted for it in greenlight, sadly that process has been doomed to failure from the outset

Why is it s*** to you?

Why would that be considered a failure?

Greenlight is nothing more than a popularity contest, rather than a viable means of getting stuff on steam. Yes there has been some good stuff released, but there's also been a lot of garbage that wouldnt have been released if Valve were doing their job of processing new releases, rather than letting the fanbase do it for them.

In theory it's a fine ideal, in practice it's doomed to failure

Plenty of free and well-supported stuff out there that does this stuff.

Garbage in YOUR opinion.

People vote on what THEY like, and you can't do a thing about it other then respecting their opinions and interests.

It isnt like this software is required, for 30 bucks this is sadly not even close to being worth it.
Not many people have dual monitors, and most of them probably know what they are going if they spend money on a secound screen so this is pretty bad.
If it was 5 bucks or free it would be OK but i still dont see the use.
monsto 29. März 2013 um 14:48 Uhr
and then there's the array of monitor, desktop and user tools available from Stardock do'com. Company age, support, community. . . and cheapness.
Woolerland - Pink Arrow 29. März 2013 um 15:01 Uhr
People who own three monitors should have enough cash for some robust multi-monitor software.

For example: I do!
