Joy 2 Key / Successful controller play!

I noticed a lot of posts complaining about the lack of controller support but after tinkering for about 40 min with Joy 2 Key (I'm slow) I found a nice configuration that works pretty well! Could use some tweaks but it's workable. Anyone who would like my draft J2K file for use may message me or show me if there's somewhere to upload it.

Note: For those who haven't heard of it - Joy 2 Key is free to download software that lets you keybind to your Xbox controller. Once you create a keybinding file you can easily send it and share it with others. My boyfriend had to download it for me in order to get me to play RPG's with my trigger-happy FPS fingers. There's several other programs, and I've seen a few noted on the forums, but Joy 2 Key I find the easiest to work with.

Yeah. You'd think that was the purpose of this PINNED thread. Good thing Joy2Key is easy enough to configure on your own.

I'm not certain how to send the file I made but here is the text / perhaps copy & pasting into a new Joy2Key file would work.

The only thing I could not figure out yet was how to map the mouse wheel for swapping ammo / generally I just try to bless all my bullets but some further tweaking might fix that:

In order to map to the mouse wheel you need to select the mouse tab in the button edit screen and manipulate the vertical bar labeled Wheel Rotation.

We tested it out a bit. It seems to work fairly well for moving around and placing traps, but not so much for the inventory, so you would still need a keyboard for those shortcuts during the night.

Yeah, I have managed to finish the game (with Jos for now ;)) with 1-4 on D-pad (and store quickly needed items like healing and glasses there) and 5-8 on D-pad with grip pressed for less needed ones. Another option for this could be touch menu, but I did not try it yet.
