Enjoying It So Far!
I knew as soon as I watched the trailer that I would NEED to play this game. And, as I'm French Acadian from the Maritimes, the setting and stuff appeals to me also. :)

The gameplay and game dynamics are a lot of fun. I really enjoy playing games like Orcs Must Die! and I'm glad this is somewhat of the same idea. I'm just having a bit of trouble with the Maikans (I'm sure I mispelled that) as I'm finding the fire wall not very effective. Unless I'm doing something wrong. Besides that, as far as strategy games go, I give a big thumbs up!

Glad you're enjoying the game!

For the Maikans (you did spell it right!), it depends how you want to use the fire walls, they're tricky with the whole ignoring bait thing of course. I'll try to give you some tips if you point me in the direction you want to go.

I'll see if I can figure it out on my own first, because I know I'll regret it if I don't try to figure it out for myself just yet, but if I do need help then I'll hit you up! Thanks. :)

Something else that I also find very appealing, much more so than other games of the same genre, is the village aspect. It's a lot more interactive this way and immersive! I can see this game entering my "favorites" list. :)

Update and *Strategy Spoiler*:

I went back to the first Maikan mission and beat it without any damage to my buildings! Initially, I was more concerned with causing the most damage to the Maikan's as possible using the fire walls, but I'd always get my chicken coop destroyed before I could finish them both off. When I came back to it today, I decided to block all the paths to the chicken coop so that one specific Maikan would have to run from one side of the map to the other, eventually running into me while fighting the one by the mill. Of course, I had already killed the one by the mill before the second one arrived. So it made for a good thrashing. :)

I'm not sure if that was the strategy you were going to suggest, Duomtl, but it worked a lot better!

Haha that was a good strategy! It's what the firewalls were made for.

I can tell you what I do if you want, you can try it out on another play through. I'll warn you though it took me a while to get the proper placement, but anyways, it's actually possible to place firewalls to change all 3 enemies paths to meet up and kill them all at once with the spike trap! The reason it's so tricky is actually getting them to one spot all at the same time though since the Grand Wolf runs so damn fast.

Wow, I never thought of that. Thanks for that tip! Going to try that out next time for sure.

Takes some time to figure out, but well worth the trouble lol Good luck! Don't forget to shout ;)

I regret nothing. Oh and since my favourite subjects are history and mythologies it doubles the fun for me.
