Patch 1.2 released - mise à jour 1.2
Hi all, the game is now out on Steam!!! Here's some of the changes we did for the last 2 releases:

Release Version 1.12

- Added size toggle on the minimap by pressing the "m" key during the night (and the possibility to hide the minimap for even more challenge). This key can be changed in the Key Bindings menu from the Main menu.

- Fixed a bug with key bindings the first time you play after installation. For players who upgrade from a previous version, this fix might reset some of your previous key assignments to default, so you might need to reassign them before you play.

- Fixed a bug that could happen if you pressed "Esc" during some tutorials.

Release Version 1.1

- Added an argument in the command line that disables hardware audio acceleration which fixes some compatibility issues we've had with certain sound cards. To use it, right-click on Sang-Froid from your Steam game library, choose "Properties" and, in the "General" tab, click on "Set Launch Options". In the text field, just type "-softwareAudio" and click "OK".

- Fixed a bug that caused the game to play in a zoomed-in state if your Windows DPI-scaling settings were higher than 100%.

- Fixed a bug that only happened with some video cards that made the background of the minimap invisible.

- Increased the resolution of the Skill Points in the Skills page.

- Enhanced some item icons for higher resolution.

- Fixed a bug where your character could, in some rare cases, not move if he got hit while using a Ballista, Mortar, Holy Cross or Sacred Tree.

- Enhanced locking system for Rage attacks.

- Corrected a camera bug in the Main Menu.

- Balance changes to the Wayside Cross.

- We now properly save your experience points and skills when you quit the game after failing a night.

- Removed the fade in/out on cutscene characters.

- Corrected a bug that allowed you to place Watch-towers with zip lines that passed through the ground.

- Enhanced minimap.

- Corrected some animations that didn't loop properly.

- Changed the default keys to emulate the mouse wheel to Pg. Up and Pg. Down.

--------------------

Bas. (Pg. Up et Pg. Down).

Thank you very much! Is the Steam Offline Mode working correctly now? Or do I still have to play online all teh time?

Best regards

Please add 2560x1440 resolution. The game looks quite blurry in 1920x1080 (obviously).

Congrats on your release!
Thanks for making a great game. Thanks for not following the trends and making something with different art direction, a different kind of story and a refreshing style of gameplay.

I hope you do well with the game, I know I certainly have enjoyed it so far!

Have you checked the integrity of the files?
Duomtl Apr 6, 2013 @ 12:11pm
Make sure you're online when you run the game and that you don't alt-tab during the initial load-screen. After cheking the integrity of the files and doing the other 2 things, if it still doesn't work, please send me a dxdiag report to support@artificestudio.com.

Hi Duomtl!

Have you fixed the offline mode yet?

Thank you for your answer.

Best regards

phila

Edit: I just checked - OFFLINE MODE NOT WORKING - Please fix it! It is a pure Singleplayer Game and the need of a permanent internet connection was not stated under system specs!

My computer has a resolution of 1280x768 and this game does not work well with that res. For some reason the game also won't even let me change resolutions when I go to options. Can someone help me get this game to work?

The game should work fine in 1280X768. You can try to choose the resolution again by locating the folder named sangFroidData (most probably in the hidden folder programData on your c:), and run the file : chooseresolution.exe . From there, you'll be able to choose different resolutions.

Ok, I'll try that. Thanks
EDIT: it still says that my monitor doesn't support any valid screen resolutions...

That's weird... Never seen that problem before. Can you try the following : in the same directory as chooseresolution.exe; there's a file called config.sf. Open that file (with notepad). Next to [mainMenu]currentResolution (at the right of that word), there should be a number. Is that number "1" ? If not, change it to 1, save the file, and try to aunch the game again.

Ok, it was 7 and I changed it to 1, but not long before posting I managed to get stuck in a higher resolution. Now, i'm back to the original problem. I know I said 1028x768 before but I made a mistake. I meant to say that my resolution is 1024x768. When I am in the options menu, it says my resolution is set at 1028x768. The upper half of cut scenes and in game tutorials are cut of by a black screen and the right side is cut off by the edge of my screen. It still says that my monitor does not support any valid screen resolutions and i'm still having trouble adjusting the resolutions in the in-game menu. the lowest i seem to be able to go is 1440x900 There doesnt seem to be anything in between...

Yeah I did. I didn't get much sleep sorry... And yes, apparently the game doesn't support those specs. Will it be updated to be able to do so in the near future?

Well there was a developer that responded to me a number of times about an hour ago... but I would think at this point issues like this would have already been addressed.
