Windowed Mode?
Is there no windowed mode for this game? If not, I am sad.

Not at the moment, but it may still be added in a future patch, just not for release later today.

It's 2013. Does anyone play games on a PC non-windowed? I know I haven't for years, and any game without it doesn't get bought. Really makes you wonder why developers release a game just to lose so many potential sales over skipping such a critical feature.

I never, ever play in windowed mode.

No windowed mode and no support for resolutions over 1080p, unplayable.

I was thinking about buyin the game, but readin this, its a no-go for me, cant believe there are still games out there which dont support windowed mode...regarding indies i can understand it...a bit cuz of...limited resources, but if i see a game like AC3 without Windowed...

i might be completely ignorant but why would you want to play in windowed mode?

So you can multitask with other tools. Windowed lets you swap in and out instantly. Switching in and out of full screen is way slower and far less stable on 99% of games. I always have other things running in the background, skype, irc, spreadsheets, databases etc and rarely get more than 10-15 minutes to play before an interuption occurs. Saving and exiting a full screen game that often would drive anyone insane. If you can play a game uninterupted for hours then sure full screen is better, but for many people that's rarely an option.

Yes, a windowed mode is a must for me as well. I run 3 monitors and without windowed, the other 2 become useless. I also occasionally play at work and I need windowed to stay on top of things.

Another vote for windowed mode!

Ever hear of an Alt + Tab?
eldonv Jun 8, 2013 @ 12:43am
Alt-Tabing back and forth tends to move my taskbar around, it also sometimes doesn't return clearly, not to mention that two of my monitors are useless when using full screen unwindowed. That doesn't even get me started on the fact that it takes a few seconds to tab out and return. Most games support some type of windowed mode these days. I COULD shoot for the moon and ask them to support 3 screen multi-monitor display.. *wink*

Window mode is a must if your run multiple displays.

Also if you like to stream and only have one monitor.I also won't be getting this game because of the resolution either its a shame cause I love games like this.

Why? I run multiple displays and rarely run any game in windowed mode because, CrossFire doesn't work in windowed mode. I Atl + Tab out of any game just fine probably because I always play @1080p and both of my monitors are set to 1920x1080. If a game doesn't support my native resolution then windowed mode is really appreciated, but still not a must.

Anyone who runs multiple displays at max resoution runs crossfire. It is nice to have the option to run windowed if the game runs in lower resolution than my cell phone (my cefll phone is 1080). Indy games can run eyefinity its not hard, just need dev's who are smart and understand hardware. Sadly this game opens up postage stamp size in my 5660 x 1920 display. Really devs, make console games if your going to aim so low. Didn't see resolution warning, basically I was ripped off. I need to make a crap steam indy game (swindle) then claim its in beta and just provide a splash screen at 640 x 400 resolution. That is basically my experience now with this game. This is why big studios have to exist and indy is a dying phase.
