Difficult game. Any tips?
This game is very interesting. I love the style, it has the perfect atmosphere, the music is just simply amazing.

However i find it very hard to come up with a good stragedy, when wolves are attacking three buildings at once. It takes valuable time to move to differemt spots, and i dont know a good way to defend two spots at once.

The werewolves are, for me, very dificullt to deal with, since theyre fast and tough. When i try to drop the net trap on them with my rifle, they spot me and manage to run away from the trap.

Do you know any good tips to help me get past theese levels?

A lot of spacebar to keep rolling, and just don't get scared. I'm having the same type issues. Hard when you have two characters to choose. Even with the big lumberjack. The game says he's an easier choice. HA! Yeah right. Look at it this way. If it was too easy? It really wouldn't be worth the play time.

Well, the combat is not really an issue for me. Time is what really matters. I would like some tips on the best ways to either maybe secure one area with traps or prolong the time it takes for enimies to reach the buildings.

But thanks anyway! :)

Two things might help you a lot : First, during the day phase, hit eascape and watch again the "detection" and the "pack managment" tutorial movies. Then, before you start a night that you find a bit too frustating, hit escape during the day phase and read the "tips for the upcoming night"; it will give you 2 or 3 tips that you might find useful... enjoy!

You can also use bait to delay enemies that are going for seperate buildings. Also don't forget to either shout or leave bait under the net trap so that the wolves or werewolves won't come towards you before you can drop it on them.

The game is mostly appearing hard at first because it uses alot of unique systems that are uncommon in other defense games. I givethe developers mad credits for that :) It can take a while to get into the right mindset.

You are saying, that you have no issue with combat. Great, that is the most important thing. This game is all about delaying the right enemies at the right time, not so much about killing them with traps, at least in the first 2/3.

I don't know how far you are but bait and firewalls are your best friends. One suggestion i'd make is to pick the skill that makes wisps afraid of the walls too.

Would be cool, if you could tell me, what mission is difficult for you and i'll explain what i do and why. Maybe that will help you? :) lets give it a shot

Regarding the "i want to shoot the net and they attack me" can mean multiple things.
- they ate the bait up and continued down their path
- you got to close. The green circle around your character is the trigger zone. if it touches the enemies, they will attack you
- your scent might have attracted them. Wind direction determines in what direction your "stink" goes :) It is indicated by a green cone - again, if they enter it, enemies attack.

Remember aswell, that a blessed axe (in the convent) does extra damage to werewolves

Those are some really good tips! Thank you! I actually managed to get past a few levels now, but i have not encountered any wisps yet, but i will keep the tip about the firewall skill in mind.

Plus, i didnt know that you could bless the axe. That was the biggest pain, if i missed the net-trap and had to fight a werewolf at full health with just the axe.

Again thanks for all the tips :)

I've noticed that no-one has said anything about placed traps lasting beyond the night.
If your having trouble with day 3, try day 1-2 again to improve effiency and place traps/nets/stuff before you actually need them. (is this just me?)

Well nets won't stay, but Wolf traps do.

You are making a valid point, but i think, if you have to resort to that tactic, you have to be rather inefficient with AP. Ofcourse, if that gets you further, who am i to tell you to stop but something tells me, that you will then hit a wall later in the game, where this is not viable anymore. Did you rely on this frequently? Did you finish the game like that? Did you play on hard? Because i havent tried it yet but there might be scenarios, where you have to rely on what you suggest.

2/3 of my actionpoints went unused on every map, so why would i have trouble to place them as needed, rather than the previous day, you know what i mean?

Dingo : Havn't actually played that much (still having fun with othergames), though noticed on second play through i could place traps/flyfoxes where i'd need them later on.

My point being is that if you can survive the past night easily then by redoing the 2nd previous night (setting traps needed for that and the next) greatly improves cash reserves.

I dont know how you conclude, that you save money or AP this way. The costs are fixed and there is absolutely no gain over doing it the way you discribe O_o Whether you place a wolftrap on day one or day 3, it has been payed for at some point. Even argueing with AP is problematic, because excess AP are converted to money at the start of a night, so unless you have no lumbering upgrade, there seems close to no gain.

Oh and i just noticed, you stated, that you can place nets and they would carry over to the next day, this is wrong.

Have you read the guides or watched any Youtube videos? Plenty of help out there.
