[SUGGESTIONS] Thing I think should be brought into the game (Devs, I know you've heard this a lot, bear with me)
Okay, we all know Kinetic void is not a finished game, but is pretty damn great for an unfinished one. Everybody has their ideas of features that should be put in, some of them very good ideas, and some not so much. A few general things I think should be put in are:

1. Multiplayer

Right now, although it's fun to be able to build your ship and fly it around, there are too few enemies (in my opinion, others may think otherwise) and after a while it gets a little boring sitting around, waiting for some enemies, but to even do that with your friends would make this game so much more fun

2. More enemies

As stated before, you can generally find a couple enemy ships out of your spawn, but when it comes to the point where you spend most of your time looking for it, you sort of lost your intrest in the game

3. Singleplayer

Single player is very important for some people, and I can agree. You don't require much of a story for this game, I would be happy with just getting assigned missions from that guy in the store and doing them, missions could be for mining, assasination of an enemy patrol, stealing of salvage, and so on and so forth. Even just having a space station being attacked by an enemy faction would be kind of cool (You would get paid, of course, for doing so.)

4. More weapons

Everyone is cool with having huge cannons on the front of their ships and feeling pretty badass. It would be pretty cool if you could put some energy weapons or torpedos on the front of your ship too.

5. Life support systems

I know the life support systems aren't working right now, but that seems as though it should be one of the most crucial parts of surviving in this game. To be able to have crew to run your ship is always important, as it is in real life.

Now, I know the devs are probably already working on some of these, and I can't wait to see them, so I hope some of my suggestions helped anyone who has this game, or is thinking about getting it.

I already seen many of them, but its great that you took the time to sum it up.


Just some suggestions from my side:

To your idea with more weapons: I think it would be good if there would be some different weapons. Like guns with disruptor/energy (like in many other films and games, like Star Wars, Mass Effect and so on) ammunition, who just damage the shields, but not the hull. Or some kind of artillery, who shoots far, but with a long reload time etc. etc.

It would be great if weapons also consume power/energy, for firing. Maybe in the future version of the game, because that would prevent that I can place a infinite amount of weapons.

OK, here we go, response time!
Multiplayer: We are going to look at the feasibility of doing Multiplayer after the game successfully launches for single player. As this is our first game ever, we didn't want to open a can of worms we didn't have a tupperware lid to put back on it if needed. Would we like to see multiplayer? Absolutely! But we still need to see how it'd tie in after everything else is in place.

Enemies: The way each Sector is set up is that it can be controlled by no more than one faction, then there's a chance of that faction being friendly vs. not. HOWEVER, one of our programmers (Matt) is making Factions do "Factiony" things, which will include enemy ships in the friendly sectors, so once that's in place you might start seeing more enemies. We're hoping it'll be in the next patch, but the AI keeps acting all goofy (all at war or all neutral right now) so he has to get it ironed out.

Singleplayer Missions: Rick, our Workshop guru/2nd programmer is working on a mission framework which would allow more missions and for them to have reward systems etc. This would help with singleplayer. Matt's Faction AI would allow for you to help friendlies when they're being invaded, or if they're the ones doing the invading.

More Weapons: Kris (programmer # 3) is working on weapon damage types (it's all very hush hush but will be cool when it's done :) )

Life Support: We'll hook it back up after we have the missions and factions working better. We're all out of programmers so don't have a spare to go through and flesh out the life support right now. We were honestly missing the gameplay that comes from interacting with factions or completing missions so much that we had to prioritize that a bit, but once it's done we'll be revisiting the shipyard and requirements of the crew etc.

Borat: We'll have different damage models, possible energy/missile etc. once it's all said and done. Personally if we do have missiles I told the guys I want the missiles to take up Cargo space and that you can only carry so many missiles unless you sacrifice other subsystems for them. Not sure which way they'll end up going with it, but they've seen all the suggestions.
