So are beam weapons broken now?
For the last few patchings beam weapons don't seem to be working in my creative mode universes. Kinetic weapons are functioning though- guns/misile pods. I've seen to my file integrity through steam, removed and begun new universes and beams aren't working. IS this intended, and if so -why hasn't it been mentioned?

I'm going to move this over to the Live bug Thread as this is where it belongs if you are having an issue.

Now about the issue:
Are they not firing? No sound? If you are attempting to use a Size 5 against a small ship then they more then likely not be able to track and actually line up with the small ship to fire at it.

Nil, no beams no sounds. The weapons pods track but nothing happens. I've just ♥♥♥♥♥bed all of my universes. Created a new one. Set controls to default just to have that ruled out. I'm piloting the base Striker fighter with class one beam weapon fives in place of the kinetic pods. Creative mode.

Beam weapons just aren't firing.

Can you launch into a galaxy with the striker that you are using and get into combat attempting to fire you laser and then send me your output log so I can take a look to see exactly what is happening??

The output log is located in your "SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Kinetic Void\Kinetic Void_Data" and shoot it over to Kris -

Bit of an updating here for you. I uninstalled Kinetic Void, then re-installed - wondering whether something hadn't become corrupted - something verifying the local cache might not have found.
I then entered flight mode.

For every energy weapon bearing ship I flew I was able to fire off one shot with the beam weapons. Then nothing. As though the capacitors never charged again.

Could it be something off -something altered with the latest versions- with the way energy weapons are registering available power or 'ammunition?'

Sorry for the late update I see an issue with your turrets trying to aim at ships, it may be that you have a corrupted ship file or two. If you could shoot me over your new log because in the old one you had an sector error that we corrected in the live patch and I just need to rule out that as the cause. Then we can track down what is going on with the turrets easier.
