Thats because its impossible for any game to not have a speed limit. If we did not cap it bad things start to happen to the physics engine.

While I understand your point I would argue that you already don't give a toot about physics as the ship should be invisble at that speed. The eye is a product of both biology and physics and the human eye couldn't see even close to the proclaimed speed the ship is moving within the game. So much for the "simulation" eh?

@NuclearShadow--that's ridiculous and you know it.

Your assassine comment could be used in every videogame not just this one.

Not really, many games have simulated this effect. Pretty much every FPS game with standard bullet weapons do not allow you to see the bullets, because you shouldn't. Which would be the correct method of going about the simulation. A bullet also goes a massive amount slower than the proclaimed speed of the ships in this game too. As for space games many use the Startrek method of being able to see the ships before it warps and after ithe warp is finished causing a massive slowdown to the ships speed. You are never allowed to actually see the ship moving at the speed that it had to, to get from point A to point B in the amount of time, nor should you.

*Edit* Oh and I do believe the word is asinine not "assassine" which you typed. If you're going to attempt to insult someone or their positions at-least do it correctly otherwise you look ... well, asinine.

At least try to compare apple with apples. Your comparing FPS and a space ship simulator.

Yes, I did misspell it. However, you misspelled "invisible" so if you're going to make any kind of argument and berate someone for a misspelling, it's probably a good idea that you spell correctly first before you even open your mouth.

I wasn't talking about just "bullets" but about physics in general. You did build a nice strawman there.

Oh, I almost forgot! "At least," doesn't have a hyphen.

"Game, set, match." You lose.

also, sight is governed by relative speed. you could see the bullets if you were travelign alongside them. you can see the space ship as you are traveling along side of them.

which in the case of most video games..... (cameras) are attached to thos focal points

not true i can see bullets when i fire my 45. i can see it alot of bullets fly slow enough to see its the ones pushing 2000/ft a sec are the ones we can not see but sub 1700 ft/secis about as good as itle get for seeing them a 45. goes around 800-980 ft/sec

alot of air rifles shoot pellets faster then that

(do not state about hitting power cus a 8-16 grain pellet wont hit as hard as a 160 grain Bullet)

I agree. This topic is shallow and pedantic.
