How to build a working ship?
I bought this game when it first hit steam but at that time i tried to build a ship but it just did not move. so i tought it was a bug. now i tried it again and my ship still does not move.

I put in parts from every gathegory.

Yet my total power needed and produced remain at zero as do my thrust.
I just can't figure out how to add power production or anything else to my ships and actually make it move.

Please don't start spamming me alpha is alpha or anything like that.
Just reply with the answer i need.

This game thus far has been an empty investment on my part but i really would like to fly to those planets and not just watch them float around. alone. without me.

Thank you.

You need to add in Subsystems, particualrly Engine Subsystems. If you right click the engine part on your ship, it will bring up a radial menu, one option will be "Subsystems" in there there is a selection of Engines and boosters, plus some other parts too. You need an "Engine" or "Engine Booster" subsystem to add thrust. You may also want to add other subsytems to other parts, such as sensors, armor, power generators, and kinetic field generators.

For more guidance, you might want to refer to the guides in the steam community.

You can read this guide:

Or Watch this video:

And it might give you a clearer sense of a working KV ship.

I'll be updating my guide to 0.03 next week, changing the screenshots and info to reflect the new interface.
