For all the people who make questions that start with the word "Why".
Ok i seen recently on the discussions, plenty plenty plenty of questions like: why buy the game, why the game is available in this state, why the update isn't up yet, why this why that why?
Look people you don't understand why the developers made it early access, since they are people with families (most of them) they need money. But it's not only that. When the developers make a game in early access, they don't make it for you to have fun with it, they make it because they need help in development, they need to tell them what is right and what is wrong, things they can't see. You people, all you who asking those stupid questions you have no idea how hard is to make a video game, especially from a small team like this, it's not a huge company with hundreds of people working on. So shut the ♥♥♥♥ up and help them.
And if you want to ask something ask yourselfs "Why I did bought an early alpha game and then complaining about it's state, its features and i want my money back" I think we know the answer!

I give my regards to the team for the hard work, i really hope you fix fast those 300 errors you found so you will be free from this stupid anoying people with those stupid questions. My respect to the team!

This game is released to the public, at a cost mind you, and as such there is going to be reactions to it.

Putting up an early access tag isn't going to magically make all criticisms go away.

There have been successful small team game companies before, we shouldn't lower our expectations of a game just because it is a small team.

Agreed, we shouldn't lower our expectations of the final product, but the updates to the final product are obviously going to take longer.

I welcome all critisim, as long as its constructive and polite, people dont realize how long and hard we work on this stuff and to have some faceless person come buy and call all our work ♥♥♥♥ really dosent help team morale. Every studio is like this, which is why most studios are not very involved with their comunity, amongst other reasons.

As for the 300 errors, we are down to 20 or so, assuming that every thing goes well it shouldn't be too much longer until patch time.

I bought the game 4-5 weeks ago and I regret it. Nothing "noticeble" new added from when I purchased it to date. I feel this game is 2-3 years off being complete if they even finish it. Do not waste your money, go buy Gemini 2 if you seek a similar experience. They give massive patches every week with new content and looks to be complete within 6-12 months.

We ususally put a patch out once ever 2 weeks, unless it's a major addititon, those take a bit more time. If you check this thread http://steamcommunity.com/app/227160/discussions/0/864978109428390519/
you can see what is in the next patch, and why its taking a bit longer than normal.

Please dont advertise for other game in our subforum, its rather rude.

i didn't say to lower expectations i say to have patience it's to early to criticise it so badly at that state!

you shouldn't accept some critisism man. it's your work, i hate those people who criticise that way, they knew it's alpha they shouldn't buy it if they felt that way. it's their fault! I believe in you guys that you will make a great game. And am here to help you in any way possible, just ask.

Great respect to all developers that make games.

I feel the need to give my opinion relating to this game in it's current state while advising the community of other options relating to the space/sim/rpg genre, if they are seeking to play something now rather than waiting it out. I would call it informative, not rude.

People post asking if they should purchase this product in aplha (to play it in the current state) I think they need to hear all views and options before making the purhcase, even if you the developer do not wish to have competitor game posted here; sadly it's freedom of speech.

You should welcome competition and give us a positive views on why your product is better or to suit different gaming experiences, rather than to politely ask me not advertise another product in this sub forum.

I wish this game all the best (as I have purchased it) but it's silly to purchase it now if people are seeking to play it now, but if people wish to support in hope it will make it more polished, then by all means.

sorry for the spelling hang with me here.:)
the big thing about peoples critisisum is all based on there experince they want the game to be compleate this wont come for a long time hounestly if you want that BIG CHANGE to come how about you donate more cash like 5 a week if let say 10 guys do so eavery week by the end of the month the will make enogh to triple there speed get bigger and game comes faster something of the sort but anyway just wait till there done dosent hurt to wait

and if you can what i personaly feal is that the game is missing special effects for explotions
if you can get something of the sort i can almost defenitly garente that you will be praised for it
a lot of people like action if you can combine what you have hear and amazing combat ship to ship, fleet to fleet fights it would be so amazing but theres ganna be a lot more probs for example the time itl take to compleate the game anayway iv spooken to much just saying leave the devs alone its hard enogh for them to make a game then dealing with a bunch of idiots who cant really see that the game is incompleate it hasent left the alpha stage yet

expecting great things from you guys thx for the wounders work you put in the game

I completely agree dude, people who aren't developers seem to think we all drive Bently's or something. You guys are doing great, and I'm happy I threw money at this project, I want you guys to succeed. It sucks being a small developer, there are incredibly limited resources, and holding down other jobs to pay bills while working during the time where normal folks who have nothing better to do than ♥♥♥♥♥ on forums takes its toll.

I know it isn't just me, many of my friends bought into Kinetic Void because we believe in it, and miss awesome space-sims (the whole reason to own a pc fifteen years ago!) I know this one comment won't make up for the deluge of bull-♥♥♥♥ you guys deal with every day, but here's a small bit of indie developer love back atcha. You guys are rad, your product shows lots of promise, and many other folks will back you. Remember, we have to forget the minor vocal minority that uses the forums as a place to troll and remember the rest of the folks we make games for. We don't make them for the people who whine, we make them for the thousands who don't post crap on forums, who play and love the games we make, and who might not ever say thank you, but will convince their friends to buy our games.

I'm not expecting this to turn the tide of the complaints and the people who obviously don't know what alpha means, but rather to let you guys know that there are plenty of us who support you and the work you do.

This early access thing is a trend exploding in game developement now. I understand the benefits associated with giving the game early access like this, but it is walking on hollowed ground for gamers who buy it. With small teams like this they can get a pocket full of cash and not care much about the game and leave the gamers who bought it stranded without the game being completed on a reasonable timescale if at all. Now BEFORE I GET ABSOLUTELY SHOWERED WITH FAN HATE or if the devs see this, I am not pointing any fingers at the Kinetic Void dev team or anyone with these comments. It's only an inevitability with early access games that I want to express. I would however like to respectfully and humbly ask as a person who plays KV, when do you suspect a full release will happen? If I had to guess based on the timetable I have seen it will take too long and interest will simply die out. As with everything I have just said though, IT IS ONLY MY OPINION. Keep that in mind before responding to this please. Also screw paragraph structure.
Prudentia Sep 25, 2013 @ 2:28pm
I for myself bought the game in expactation of a similiar experience of the X-Series. at that state (3 updates ago) i didn't get it, but i still thought it was a nice game and it might get intresting in the future. And i also think you should never rush devs... i play Planetside 2... err bugside 2... i rather wait 2 weeks for an update than 2 weeks for a hotfix for the update that made the game unplayable...
so keep up the work and make this game awesome :)

Blargeddy, from our perspective, doing a poor job, or walking away is not an option, who would buy our future games if we did that? This is our careers and livelyhood now, and its taken so much time and effort that I could not allow it to just end.

You dont know me, or my situation, but I think if you read around for my responces and the way we generally treat the development of KV, you may understand, this is serious for us. The alternatives are not something we are willing to entertain as possibility. We very much want to make more games, we already have ideas for more games, but KV will be finished (brought up to the listed Features on the store page) before any effort goes into anything else.

We may take a short break from KV, between its release and the Expansion, but that is still a ways away.

+1 to your respond on that! I love how you answer on every questions, you always seem honest and positive guy. I bet the whole team is positive about the game and you have support of many members.

This game isn't bad. Even in its current state its quirky. It's just wierd is all :P
I think the younger generations are incapable of recognising this, or understanding what early access is.
