Status update - Build 0.03
Hey everyone, its been almost a month since our last update, way longer than I like them to be spaced but if we are going to add major features they take a bit longer to make.
Right now we are looking at a patch day of when its ready.
All new UI style and design
This patch will include 2 - 3 new mission types
Steam Workshop support for sharing Ship files.
All new save structure for ships so that when changes are made to modules and subsystems they are automatically updated.
All new particle effects including:
12 shield hit effects
14 explosion effects
7 hull hit effects
5 laser effects (Laser weapons not active yet)
9 projectile effects
5 missile effects (Missile weapons not active yet)
And a whole host of other small fixes, far too many to list right now.
If time permits we are also wanting to get the Inventory systems up and running, which would add station and ship inventory, this is the begging of the actual gameplay / progression, now that we have a way to reward the player (missions) we can start making you earn your awesome ships!
Once we get to that point a creative mode will still be available to build ships all you like. Eventually I want it so that any ships you have in your collection are able to be purchased from within the game, so that for people that don't like to build their own ships they will still be able to earn new ones.
Again, sorry its been so long since the update but I think you will all be happy with the results of this patch.
