Cube thingy floating randomly around ... wtf?
Someone already suggested that a joysick could send unwanted input (why would it!?).

I have disconnected all gaming controls, but that cube still floats sensless around.

Halp plz! :o)

Because sometimes game are not yet done for joystick. Joysticks always send an input. Know why? The starting position. 0X and 0X are input as well, so it gives an input. Sometimes your joystick is sightly to the side as well.

Look if you have any Virtual Driver or something else.

Some people had some keys stuck sometimes. Try to remove your keyboard and or mouse and see if something change. If it does, then your keyboard (or mouse) might have a problem.

There's something sending an input in the game and no one can do anything about it except you.

of course my mouse sends inputs ... when i move it. and i rather keep it that way. anyhow, the movement of the cube can be influence by joystick input ... sort of. but nothing of its movement changes if i move the mouse.

and i had never a problem with my keyboard sending unwanted input anywhere.

so, no way i will strip my rig naked just for this. no joystick? yeah, but didn't help.

seems that i basically threw money worth two pizzas out of the window. yeah, nobodys but my own fault to not have read the description text carefully enough. taught me a lesson at least - never expected that such unfinished pre-alpha crap gets sold on steam.

It's not crap as a lot of people have it working.

I didn't say to play this without anything. I said to remove and see if it changes anything, that counts your keyboard as well. And even if it didnt send any input to any other game it could still.

I'm have the same problem as Flabrum. I'm just waiting patiently for the game to have controller options so I can 'unplug' this phantom controller that is controlling this game and none of my other 130 games. This game won't take input from my joystick, just this magical, non-existent game-breaking controller.

Its called early access.. The clue is in the name, of course its unfinished. Jesus I haven't even played the game yet I just bought it but I know to expect problems its made by a small studio and is in early development.. If I don't get any great, if I do i'll report the problem and await a fix.

Its Early Access get over it. If its nobody's fault but your own don't start calling the game crap.It is your fault so deal with it.

As I already said, I admit freely that it is my own fault to not have informed myself better before purchasing it. But I still stand to my statement that I am genuinely surprised that mere _tech demos_ are actually _sold_ here on steam...

They're in the green light section of steam for a reason. Meaning they're indie developers that need funding for the game.

Early Acess is that way.

You're asking why more early acess are appearing?

Probably because steam and others don't want to pass out on a new indie game that might make a lot of cash. An example? Minecraft.
