KV on other Linux distro's
I have Kali, which is a debian-based OS. I doubt Steam and KV will work across all distros. I remember I tried to install steam on normal debian on an old computer, and I ran into a lot of problems. There were huge package dependency trees, and I forget why I couldn't start Steam up.
Will Steam and KV work on Kali or not?

The game is made for PC, Mac, Or Linux. I haven't even heard of Kali, and I doub't the Devs heard of it too. So it might work, but it wasn't tested or made for it.

Unity3d only officially supports Ubuntu, We have no control over this.

Any linux distro will work, it comes down to how much you must do for it to work. Debian based distros should only be slightly more difficult to get working with kv and steam than Ubuntu based.

I use Zenwalk, which is slackware based, and I KV works out of the box. I just needed to get steam running properly.
