Precision Microjumps
So I've been playing around with microjumps to get in/out of combat fast using a destroyer with the smallest jump drive possible. I seem to be hitting between 3200-4500km per jump. Has anyone else done any serious testing on this tactic? I'd love some independant confirmation of this as it is incredibally difficult to judge without a stationary reference point. Craft Mass 3500.

Yeah I'm having a really tough time guaging microjumps, really regardless of ship mass. Right now I'm testing an escort cruiser with a mass of 6500 and it's near impossible to precisely target and then arrive at a station. I've come close, but it requires a lot of stopping and starting.

I've attempted Microjumping before. I mostly tend to lose the targets, though one time I was dogged by a few ships for quite a few longer jumps. Seems like a viable esape tactic, but unless sensor ranges (or perhaps spawn ranges, not sure what all's guiding ship appearnace as of now) become larger I'm not seeing it as useful tactic in combat itself, excpt maybe once in an effort to repostion if ships are following. I'm playing a bit more with it now though.

As to arriving at stations properly, yeah, the reaction time is problematic for hitting thos right on, but with some practice I've had no trouble getting within 2000 km which is a pretty short jaunt in newtonian flight. Later they should be implementing an autopilot for hitting spot on or very close.

Generally my microjumps fall in a similar range, using a variety of craft. Im not sure the MWD is mass sensitive.

We'll I've narrowed it down to 3700km short jump with enough clickspamming heh and yeah it seems the mass doesn't matter. I've been using a 14k mass cruiser to refine my numbers.

MWD is mass indipendant, they all go the same speed, make sure you are using Shift+T to turn it on and off, also, press N which will bring up all the radar icons for the stations in the sector, click on so you can see its distance, and allign your ship, trigger MWD and turn it off when you are at the desired distance.
