Pop my ship is gone
Hi there this is great for an early alpha and looking good team i was wondering if hull integrity will be part of the game with all the parts linked(welded mag stab ect) and only when integrity has failed on a quadrant parts will take damage and fail(or fall off) .

With missiles having maybe explosion radius making it more of a problem losing your whole ship because of the weak overall connections could be a pain i have been left floating in space in just my command section many times now :).

I am fingers crossed for propper sheilds also as subsystem parts with bubble arcs that you will need to overlap for full coverage and large sheild modules with full ship bubble(very high power need) with power divert and quadrant control. sorry if these things have been asked already now where did i leave my space wrench o/

Whoa, whoa, whoa. That's a pretty big wall of text. Sometimes taking a break or making use of interpunction would make this much easier to read, because like this, it's a real pain... Just as a side note.

From what I understood you want each part to be destroyed individually? That is how it's working right now. I didn't quite understand the welding part tho. As for the shields, I don't have an answer for that.

The kinetic Field will work as your shield in the game.

Ahh thanks for the reply sorry for wall of text just asking that down the road ships hold together better as combat is a real big part of the game.

Ships will have a whole lot mroe durability (you will actually control this) and the shields will make combat last a lot longer. Larger weapons will always destroy small ships if they hit though, the mass and velocity of the shot is just so much greater. Also with a change we have coming up I am getting 300fps in game. :D

Wow!! While I don't expect to see that kind of improvement on my laptop, this makes me really excited for even a modest bump in framerate (though the only place that I currently notice any slowdowns is during combat when my guns are firing.) Great work!
