Your thoughts of this game?
I saw this game on Early Access yesterday. My first thought wasn't too good, but when I checked the pictures, read what's it all about, I knew I had fallen in love.

I'm HUGE fan of Faster Than Light, and this game made me think about it.
If all the features are getting in, this might turn out to best "space simulation".

Can't wait to see some different weapons, more ship parts and such.
This far it's really amazingly well done. I love building new ships, new parts and "objectives" to do would be huge plus.

I'm eager to see some new stuff!

Mm.. Well, starting posts were mostly about "Should I buy", I was going more into "What you think", also in comments people seem to be spamming Kinetic void Vs. Kerbal Space program messages.

I know but if you look later in the threads, a lot of people already said their opinion on the game.

I wouldn't even call it a game again yet, it's extremely un-finished.

extemely un-finished yeah, but what Dakili said great potential to be a (sorry my words) cumgasmawesomeamazingbigbuttwappling-game, but for now its still amazing too.

Sorry but i lost my hope in this game and cant see that big potential. Yes the ship-building thing is great, but its not the first game with this feature nor the last. And all other around (for me: gameplay) is not "in sight". Not only first steps are implementet. Nothing. And it seems for me that nobody cares (devs or community). There are no facts about what you can do later. Everything... yeah, like everything you can make with a sheet of paper.
No facts about trading & mining, no facts about economy, no facts about everything of gameplay. But in the other hand, there where release dates: First there was 1 quarter 2013, then 2. Now its 3. (i think). No planes... nothing. Only promise.
For me this "game" is, sadly, a imposter.

I got one thing to say. Imagine you have a dream, and you wanna make it, then you start doing it, but after a while, you realise it will take way more time than you though. That's how things are. They, unfortunately, didn't anticipate everything.

This game, at this point is still amazing and is growing. The only difference is that normally you wouldn't hear from it before it was released, now, they give an alpha release at lower cost. What's the deal?

It's an alpha, it's what you paid for. An unfinished product that slowly is growing to what was promised. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_release_life_cycle#Alpha

And that the devs don't care? Seriously? I haven't seen a Dev caring about the community as much as in this game. The guys posts as much as he can and cares about the community. He can't be always here. Jeez. He has a family and all and even if you did pay for the game, it doesn't mean he has to do everything you hope for.

I still think it's unfinished and rather empty at this point, but I woun't go and say a gane is bad end-of if it's just an alpha. Look at ArmA III for example, I didn't like it all that much at Alpha, now they've improved it greatly in the very recent Beta release (like today kind of recent, actually) and I've found the combat dynamics much more interesting and fluid.

Still, they don't have a team of 6 members. Meaning their updates are faster. But yeah. Another example is minecraft.

Sorry for misunderstanding, i dont mean the devs dont care about the com. I mean that they dont show us some facts about gameplay. And in this case they dont care about gameplay.
Oh, the "Its an alpha blah". Yes i know, no that wasnt the "question" that nobody asks for.
I know it takes time, this is not a problem. Promisses they cant keep, thats my problem.
But.... seriously.... what is that family argument? Sure he has... fine.... iam happy with him!?
Uhm, no sorry i dont care. Welcome to the hard reality! Do you care about me and my family? Dont think so... So please... not such arguments. And btw.: If our standing is so close, than he should make "buddy-prices". O.o
My opinion.

Really from what I have seen they don't know what direction to go in just look at the subsystems types most of them don't work to which you could say “yet” but why put them in now.

The other thing I don't get is for a module you have health then you have subsystems like compund plating with durability, kinetic & explosive but how would all that work with modules health?

I think the dream was build your own ship from many parts but I'm not seeing what the game play is all about.

Gameplay is something similar to freelancer.

For the subsystem. Your question for the health. Easy. Each module can contain more than one subsystem and everything has their own health. Why? Because depending of the type of weapon you will be using, some of it will "pierce" the module and hit directly the subsystem. When the subsystem reach a certain HP, it will start to malfunction, and at some point, stopping working. Another game I play, called darkspace, as something similar. When the armor pieces are broken, the system of the ships gets damaged.

What kind of fact? You want us to show the actual game? You know it's an alpha. You know we have almost the same version the Dev are using. Seriously. At least make your argument viable. What kind of facts you want him to give you, if the game isn't even near done and what you are asking for isn't done yet.

And the family argument was to say that him, and the other Devs all have lives outside of the game. Sorry, but this is an Indie studio. Meaning they don't have hundreds of people working for it. It's a team of 6 guys working 6 days a week as hard as they can.

And I don't see any promises they didn't keep. When I first saw KV, there was nothing at all. Now look where it has gone. It's gone a long road, and still will do.

Sorry and all i see is, there is no realy gameplay difference between the shipyard demo and the actuell game. Except UI and so on, but this isnt realy gameplay.

Its like freelancer? Did the deff says that? So what i mean with facts:
how many goods? realy freelancer economy? i hope not. So a static economy?
Produktion lines? Dynamic Universe? (NPC can build / destroy bases).
Small missions like kill xy? Or bigger like throw two factions into war?
Diplomatic system between AI factions than can change or static (Freelancer)?
And so on. Nothing is sayed about this, only "like xy" or "will be awesom".
Somthing more i like to read.
Sure, i agree, hard facts isnt possible, but some should be possible.

"I think the dream was build your own ship from many parts but I'm not seeing what the game play is all about." Exactly the point!
