Is there an "undo" feature in the shipbuilding? If not, can you please add one?
Hi there. I spent some time a while back building ships because, and this may sound strange, that was the primary draw in me purchasing the game. One thing that constantly frustrated me through was that I kept accidently wiping out large chunks of my ships, and with them large chunks of my time, by clicking "modify". If you do that to a piece in the midsection, everything that's connected to that piece disappears. I tried looking through the controls list, I tried CTRL+Z, and I came up blank. And then I moved onto other games because losing an hour of work because of one misclick is really, really disheartening. Is there an undo feature that I'm missing? If not, can you please add one?

It's not yet implemented but they're working on it as well as other features. There's no estimated time as so many things need to be done first.

That's fine with me, but I hope it's done before the game goes into 1.0/non-beta

There is a lot more complexity to undo systems than most people realize, we have not started on one and I cant say for sure there will be one.

In that case, how complex/fiesable would it be to have a confirmation dialogue box for when clicking modify would delete, say, more than five pieces? Something along the lines of "Modifying this component will remove [number of pieces] attached components. [Okay] / [Cancel]".

Aleternatively, how complex/fiesable would it be to have it so that when I click modify on one component, instead of just moving that one component, it would move that one component and all of the components attachd to it?

Really what I'm getting at is that several times I've wiped out a third of my ship because I clicked the modify button thinking I was getting into the subsystems menu, and I want to mitigate the damage that such mistakes do in the future.

Yeah, we are well aware of the issue, we need to do a massive overhaul on the shipyard, but thats very time consuming so we havent started in lue of working on gameplay content.
