Seems like the big difference is that Space engineers might be finished at somepoint.

Doesn't look like you own this game though so your opinion is flawed

Considering that the "Space Engineers" developers already didn't properly finish their previous title (Miner Wars 2081) and halted development on another one without refunding pre-orders (Miner Wars MMO), this is a rather odd statement.

The "final" version of Miner Wars 2081 was so far removed from the vision the devs had sold to their customers, it almost felt like a scam.

Keen Software House software has already proven that they can not be trusted with early release funding where I'm still willing to give Badland Studio the benefit of the doubt.

I've had this for over a year, and not much has changed. As in, they've reskinned the hanger and thats about it.

Yes this is true, but Space engineers has made more progress in the last month than this has in the last year.

this is a 4x game, where you explore a galaxie with a ship , trade, fight, and gathere resources.

space engineer is a sandbox game, where you build stuff with block and give them a meaning,
the finial game ,should have a multiplayer mod, where we build stuff and fight.

there is nothing to compare here 2 very differant game

this game kinetic void. si more like the x series, evochron mercenary, free lance , and game like that

space engineer is more like starforge, blockland, minecraft

Not a 4X but a space sim.

Sounds like you haven't really been paying attention then.

The developers spent much of that time preparing the back end code for the real features (sort of required for any game, just because you can't see what's happening doesn't mean nothing is). The features that would make the game playable. Within just the last month or two the game has easily doubled in it's playablity and content. It's picking up a lot of speed now and I believe it will continue to do so until completion.

Don't claim ligitamacy just because you've owned the game for a long time.

I know backend stuff needs to happen, but i too see very minor progress made.

I feel like this early access was offered WAY to early. Got this game like a year ago as well, not exactly sure, but feels like it. Yet the list of implemented features seems like it just started yesterday to be honest.

Really looking forward to this one, just wish it would happen soon and not 2016

Hello and thank you for your interest in Kinetic Void :) Space Engineers (also early access) focuses more on the construction of the ship, making it practical and not as much on combat as what we plan to. In Kinetic Void, if you want to be in a dog fight, you can be in a dog fight. Also, we've made more gameplay progress in the past month than we had in the last year. We've added combat and mining drones in the last month, have updated the galaxy generator and started cleaning up combat to make it more feasible for players. The next month is going to hold even more content for the game. Now that back end systems are in place, we are moving forward quickly with development.

I assure you, we will be finishing Kinetic Void. Most of the past year was spent focusing on back end support rather than straight forward gameplay. Now that we have the back end support up, we can focus on gameplay mechanics. And not that I'm using this as an excuse, but Space Engineers is based on a game that started in 2002, meaning the framework has been in place for a decade. Also, until November, our team consisted of one developer, one programmer and one artist. We've since added 2 additional programmers (one of whom focuses on Workshop support) and one community manager (myself). With the additional staff we are able to start developing much more rapidly and the game has seen significant improvement in gameplay in even the last 60 days.

Have you added the drone hangar bays or checked out the new way galaxies are generated? or tried the combat again? These have all improved since December 16th.

Thanks for defending us Heels :) And be nice to our non-believers. In the long run, I am confident they'll see the awesome that is Kinetic Void.

You will not reget it buying this game. You will enjoy it very much. I just ask if you find and issue, please report it. If you feel this game is not up to par please tell us why.

What not to say:
This game sucks.

What to say:
I feel this game can be better if there was x,y and z

Welcome to the Club of Kinetic Void players.

Hi all . I have recently bougth this game , it was a choice between Kinetic void and Space Engineers . Kinetic Void won on account of the sale , if space engineers also goes on sale at some point i will purchase that one as well . Six Quid for a Alpha is abt rigth .

I think both games offer something a little new so they will both be worth a look , The thing I look for in a new game is originality , something new . As the games are still being developed there is no guarantee of completion so £6.00 is abt all i am willing to risk .

As for the game . I like what i can see and use so far , it has potentail of some intresting gameplay , looking forward to the journey and final game .
