Kinetic Void vs. Space Engineers
I know no two games are alike, but these seem similar. I was wondering (having Space Engineers myself), what makes this game different/better than Space Engineers, and if it is worth it to have both?

Hi i have both myself too

Space engineers is like minecraft

Kinetic Void is... well If X3 have a children with Legos, Kinetic void will born thats all, You can make your own ship but in a Lego wise. And you will have a Space sim too. (trade, mining, exploration, combat, factions, wars, etc.)

Space engineers like i said before, is just a Space minecraft (a very good one)

No! Space Engine is a procedural game FREE in developing. Now, restrict to explore universe and real simulation. "X3 Series" - is a god game, BUT is no game with customizable ships. Kinet Void is a game in developing too, great potential. All games is diferent. All game is god. Just it!

I would wait before buying this. If you love the weekly update Space Engineers is getting you will not find it here. Updates are slow and sometimes add very little (like this last one). You should wait until Kinetic Void adds some gameplay related things (Points of Interest, trading, mission framework, factions etc.) and then buy it.
P.S. I have both too.
P.P.S. I got this on a sale, there could be more of those coming.

Every game to work fine need professional peaple and peaple and company need money to work. I invest in a ideia, in a iniciative of the game. I buy and am hapy for it. (sorry english, friend)

Good morning everyone! Just a few things to jump in with today. Our updates are every first Monday of the month (so April was April 7th) which release to anyone who opts in for the early release updates. Throughout that week, we are releasing hot fixes as problems are reported to us (sometimes 2-3 updates in the span of the week). The following week (such as this week, April 14th) we push out the build live to our community at large. A list of our updates is available on our Announcements Page.
Our latest update was the largest we've ever pushed (literally, we ran out of characters on the announcement page last month, so they increased the limit, we ran out again this month), adding animations to weapons as well as textures, warp gates, the ability to have a ship automatically even in Career mode (rather than scraping together parts), 8 new weapon bases (animated), 25 new weapons (subsystems and yes they all look different), new weapon type (AMS = anti-missiles, automatically kills missiles that are coming in on you), new target display in galaxy/sector view, the list goes on. Here's the full update list.
I'll be recording a gameplay video this afternoon of D11 and will get it uploaded to our YouTube channel tomorrow for you to have a looksie. Let me know if you have any particular questions for myself or my team.

Happy Gaming!

I think both games are worthy to buy. Both are stil in development and I have bought them both and I must say that I really enjoy to play them.

Kinetic Void with his big open world, great possibilities and awesome ship design, with a great chance for becoming a brilliant single- and multiplayer on the one hand.

And Space Engineer with his small but perfectly balanced world, with his light Minecraft influence, more intern ship design than Kinetic Void and the great "survival" mode, with the possbillity to play with up to 16 people on your own hosted server.

I think they are both worthy to buy and it just depends on your own taste :)

Boom! Bought. I'll support this, sounds interesting and the developer is active.

it doesnt have multiplayer. albeit space engineers doesnt really work well as a multiplayer game, it is still there and you have the option to slam your custom ship into other peoples custom ships. I do not buy singleplayer games anymore.
