Opinion of Kinetic Void
The game developers have WAY less done than you are led to believe. My sugestion is wait for STAR CITIZEN to come out this year and play that.

obviously this game is not done. This is why it is in Alpha stage. BTW Why are you recomend star citizen? It will be release, at least, in 2015. And it is not done, it only have a hangar module. In this game, beside is an alpha, you can build ships and fly arround

Tanurak has posted a fine example of the sort of "toxic" uninformative posts that I've come to love throughout the gaming community.

I'm coming up on 180 hours tested over ~6-7 months. The game has made considerable progress in the time I've had it.

I've got 100 hours in since, a lot less then 6-7 months. And its gotten better and better. Sure, the content is lacking and the game is bugged here and there. But thats why its a pre-release. I get the feeling that Tanurak doesn't understand that, or game development processes.

Good morning all my fabulous people! Working on that D10 Career video, such a different beast than Creative I tell ya!

Tanaurak: I believe our description of the game is accurate, stating the items that are still in development as well as those that have been released. However if you feel something is not truthful, please point out where it is stated and what is said and I will remedy the description to fit the current gameplay.

Everyone else: Perhaps Tanaurak has not had the opportunity to play the game in Creative mode yet, or viewed any of our tutorials or videos, and that is why he feels we have so little in the game. Either way, they will get to see the level of completion expand every patch that we push out in the coming months.

"Hmmm I'm not having fun with this game, I know! I'll suggest people to go play a game THATS PLAYS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT"

As much as I like Star Citizen, I prefer Kinetic void more, because well Its much much more creative. Name one aspect of Star citizen currently that lets you build your own ship.

As for developement, I feel sorry for the developers because they probably feel sad for reading your comment They have put in COUNTLESS hours of work into this game, their knowledge and creativity is what sparks this game the most, Without these creative minds working on this game I would've never picked up the game in the first place. Sure, its unfinished, but the beauty of that is, "What will they add next?" it gives me such an excitement everytime they release Developement patch because I'm so excited to see the changes. I cannot find a game of better quality and promises than this one, I originally wanted to play EVE online but lets be honest, that game can be pretty boring (I cant even pass the tutorial ) But when the game is finally stable enough and multiplayer becomes a feature, this will be one of the most interesting spaceship games ever to be created on Unity.

I probably wouldn't buy the game in this state either if not for one thing. The devs appear to be very active compared to what I have seen from other alpha state projects.

I don't have to go back far to find the latest update and multiple developers are easy to find on the forums.

updates come multiple times a week, the game is much better than it was i own it havent had much time to play much but still following it and ive put money into where my mouth is

i think the OPs point is there isnt a lot done and it isnt being done very fast. not to say the game should be finished or that the devs arent working hard at it.

but i have to agree. there just isnt much game here. ive owned the game for quite a while. it doesnt appear to be a whole lot different. again not saying the devs arent hard at work.

thankfully i supported this team with a purchase for just that, to support their progress. i do that form time to time with these EA titles in hopes they can follow their dreams so to speak.

so the OP is right, there isnt much done. steering customers away from a purchase to me was uncalled for, but a lot of gamers these days feel the need to protect each other from devs which should be understandable by anyone who has felt cheated by a purchase.

This is the feeling i have, i've been hovering over the buy button since it went on sale but i'm still not convinced, i think this career video the dev has promised soon will sway me to buy or not, so waiting on that right now.

Ach, no pressure! I have a D9 one completed, just not my D10 one yet ;)

I am going to laugh my ♥♥♥ off when any number/combination of things happen with Star Citizen. Such as all hype and complete crap. Microtransaction BS that makes it pay to win. My favorite would be for them to not even finish the game and take the money and run. Would be laugh out loud outrageously funny. I kind of want to see the latter happen due to all the crap talk about get Star Citizen, it's going to be so great. Would just fit that it ends up being an epic fail.

As someone whom just accepted this game as a gift, I do feel it is a bit inaccurate in the game description how it is not clear what is and isn't in the game yet.
I've been playing for a few hours now, checked out the controls, clicked on just about everything, and it seems like I'm either completely missing something, or there is absolutely nothing to do from the list of features aside from ship building.

Ship building is fun, but I can't seem to dock, talk with npcs, or do pretty much anything aside from fly around and shoot at things.

And "epic space battles" is far from the reality here.
It's slow, quiet, and chipping away at other ships as they simple stop and wait to be killed is hardly epic.

I'm having a lot of fun in the ship builder, but for credability you should seriously consider how this game is framed in the description.

It is playable and being sold, so the actual features in it should be advertised, not simply what is dreamed to be in the game in the future.

I do hope it does evolve into what it's clearly being dreamed as becoming, but right now it isn't, and it's being advertised as such
aether.tech Mar 14 @ 5:58pm
Do you not realize that is a pre-release game with unfinished content? Features get advertised for the game to get sold so the devs have money to work with to develop those features. YOU'RE paying for the devs to develop those features, and they need money to do so. Everything in the history of everything is always advertised as something it isn't - just in this case, "yet". So if you don't like unfinished games, don't buy them in pre-release stage.
