Non Creative Mode
Can we pretty please have the start for non creative worked on a bit. So that you can build a fully functioning ship with Navigation computers, Coms etc. Right now the start on this is a 'little' thin and it seems like this should be very quick to do.

nevyn:
Career mode will allow you to build the most basic ship, with the ability to fly, fight and trade. You can go to the Store in the shipyard to purchase additional components, and once the mission framework is in, earn more currency to purchase additional items. Also, each station has a different array of available items for you, so exploring will allow you to get new parts for your ship. Creative doesn't even have navigation computers or coms, so Career mode wouldn't have that either. You can still add sensors and sensor boosters (nav?) to the Career C&C module, enough so you can see away from your ship. I'll try to make a video this week showing Career mode specifics.

There will be a lot of changes coming to Career mode. Though we are focusing on getting gameplay and content into the game right now.

I have bought this game today as I like these kind of games...Unfortunately, I have not been able even to design a basic fighter in non-creative mode! Yes, I read the instructions! The User Interface for the ship constructor is so awkward and new user unfriendly, it makes me wonder...is this how the UI is going to be? I am aware that many parts are not yet done BUT even in the basic stage I have seen UI far more friendly and intuitive in other games of which I am kickstarter-backer! I have grave fears that this game might forget about us `non-nerdy` bunch of people, who want things simple and `user friendly`... :( If I have to keep asking the comminity how to do things in the game then that game is not worth my time....I have already deleted 8 games because they are simply user unfriendly...I hope, I really hope that developers will get UI done far better than this current example!

Thanks for your comment Advent. Our UI is not as intuitive as we'd like and yes we plan to revisit the shipyard at some point to get it put together. I have enough time today to get a video created and uploaded using the Career mode, so I'll do that and post it in a comment below for you, then will also post it to our pinned Tutorials thread

Thank you very much for taking time to read and respond to my comment! I will wait for the game improvements. This game has big potential!

You will certainly see big progress as they update Advent. I bought a while back and the game feels very different and vastly improved from when I did. Obviously still a lot of work to go. But it's happening.

There's the video I made, sorry I made it on my personal YouTube channel since it was rendering at like 5:30 when I go home for the night, so I just told it to publish "automatically"...I'll get it posted to our Badland Studio YouTube channel on Monday though :)

Thank you Kaypix! That`s the thingy I need! A `video instructions`... :) [for us-the lazy people...]
Keep up the good work!
