Just a yes or no is fine. It wasn't playable a few weeks ago.

Heh, "this is playable" my right butt cheek. Create a ship, launch, a giant destroyer type thing pops out of no-where and insta gibs me. No sound, nothing. Just giant object appears and kills me. Doesn't fly up to me, unless it's stealthed, fires it's guns (with no sound effect) and I'm atomized. I'll try back in a year or so. Good luck.

yep, same. Everytime I launch a huge ship destroys me in about 2 seconds. don't even see it coming!

I watched what happens. Launch a ship and look backwards. A giant ship literally just "pops" right on top of you and you explode. It doesn't fly up, or anything, just SURPRISE blam. Dead. No sound, no warning, you have no chance. So I created another complete system, put together a ship, launch..... dead. Same thing. Uninstalling AGAIN. Waste of money IMHO at this point. Yeah I know it's Alpha but this is stupid.

Make sure you have a sensor installed on your ship, we found a bug that if you dont, ships will "appear" on top of your current ship. It has been fixed for the next build.

That's a shame, but the warnings were all there to be read before you paid for it. Personally, I think KV has a lot of potential. I'm looking forward to watching the same crowd who ragequits Eve Online ragequit KV, though.

I started WAY back on sign up... no texture to the launch bay even. I know it's Alpha, just saying that it is NOT playable as the dev said it was. Says to install a sensor, now I can at least see the dreadnaught moments before I'm vaporized. Joy. Assuming someone didn't read that it was Alpha doesn't help at all. Thanks for your 2 cents.
Build a ship with some armor.
Based on your comments we can only assume that you didn't read that it was in pre-alpha. Sorry if that upsets you.

Same thing happens to me as well. I get to fly around for a few seconds and this behemoth that must be going plaid comes out of nowhere and smashes my ship. I hope they have insurance. On a more serious note, I will probably wait a few months before giving this another go. Hopefully they work out the kinks as I like the concept, just not the execution.

Hey all, reading your feedback and I understand your frustrations. As I've not had a ship spawn on top of me , or even near me for that matter, but here's what I'm doing that's working:
1) Make a galaxy with 10 Factions and 13 Sectors (creative mode)
2) Build my ship with level 2-3 parts, of which the C&C is a size 2, with a Sensor as well as a Sensor Booster and armor.
3) See enemy ships from 24,000 km away from me. If they have more than 1 triangle for their icon that means they're at least my size if not heavier in mass. Reconsider engaging them. Find a target that only has one triangle for their radar icon. Go kill them.
4) Win :)
I have some gameplay footage I can get uploaded to YouTube and will share to this thread later today.
