Okay game but needs some improvements.
It's a okay game but it is in need of some great improvements.
The "G" key serves as two functions, to remove that we need a option to make out own hot keys to avoid this.
Where is my icon on the galazy map, to show my position so i know where I am going.
if I have senors I need to see it on my HUD.
If I am being attack I need to see the enemies the tab and Z keys do not function, nor mark any enemies.
the align to and warp function need improvement. the warp needs to warp me not turn on and off my warp function and isit there for x time waiting for my drives to come back online.
though it is in alpha it is in need a dire patches to fix several things that i noticed from the first 10 minutes of play time.

Still trying to figure ut how to play the game...there is no tutorials, to explain how things work. the in game menu doesn't help since hitting 1-0 does not fire the weapons. the enemies ships are immune to damage, but destory you in one hit. you buy a hangar but are forbidden on connecting it to your ship. the save/load feature does not load your ship nor saves it.
you can use drones since the shift+g function doesn't work.

it looks like a promising game but all the functions rarely work...it seems to be a waste of 20 bucks.

Please do the following to get into your Hot Keys (Keybindings) in game:
  • Press Escape
  • Click "Options"
  • Click the "Controls" tab
  • Click on the "Sector" tab at the bottom of the group to the left
  • Choose which settings you'd like to have applied to G
I'll make a Guide for how to do this. Also, the in-game guide which pops up when you enter the shipyard has a button that says "Controls" on it, if you click the button it'll tell you the default controls, and also that you can make changes through the options menu but to then disregard the guide's control list.

There isn't one yet, we'll be adding it in an upcoming patch

If you have sensors, you should know they are there because you were the one who added them. You'll see radar icons pop up around your hud when you are within your sensors' range of enemies, space stations, planets etc.

Use your mouse to click on an enemy (a white halo will appear around them), then press C, this will allow you to lock onto your target and begin attacking them. It is denoted by a red halo that will appear around your enemy. Press 1 to start firing on them, unless you manually changed your weapons controls while in the shipyard. To release an enemy from your lock, press Shift + C, if you have multiple groups selected, using the F# keys will allow you to select just that group, then Shift+C will let you drop just that group from your targets.

Align and Warp To work pretty flawlessly for me, make sure you aren't in "Mouse Control" before trying to align to an object and then warp to it. If you have mouse control on, once you align to an object if you move your mouse, it'll simply misalign again. Press V to drop out of mouse control (now only using WASD for movement etc.) then align to an object, then warp to 50km , notice you'll go into warp until you're that distance from the target, then automatically will drop out of warp. If the target is something like 24,000 km away, it's still going to take a minute or two to get that distance covered.
To manually enter warp, press Shift + T , to manually drop warp, press T while warping. Regarding the cooldown of the Micro Warp Drive, when it's cooled down, the icon in the middle of your hud which is labeled MWD will go from red to green. The Micro Warp Drive is contingent on your Kinetic Field being turned ON, which is what is determining that cooldown. If you're curious what YOUR time is for this, while in shipyard, go to your hull's subsystems and mouse over the KFG icon (it looks like a little ship with a shield around it). Look for "DepletedDelay:__", that number is the number of seconds your shield will take to become active again so you can use your MWD again. I'm going over all of the meanings of these things in a PDF document I'm creating right now.

Here is the Guides page of our forums, it's located in the upper right side and labeled "Guides", it has all the guides anyone has made of Kinetic Void. Also, when you came into our forums, there's a Pinned Thread titled "Kinetic Void Tutorials (Start Here!!!)" I highly recommend you check that out, as it includes both Steam Guides, PDFs and actual video tutorials of how to do things.

Weapons will only fire if you've an enemy locked on (red halo) or are manually firing using the mouse, press X to turn on Mouse Firing, then you can click as much as you want to fire. The 1-0 options are for when weapon groups are assigned you can have specific weapons fire at specific targets (ultimately, right now it's not intuitive enough to use normally), but 1 is always default for firing weapons, so if you click an enemy, hit c, then hit 1, if you're within range and your weapons can target them/trace them, you'll be firing at them.

The enemy ships aren't immune to damage, they have shields, just like you do. If you're fighting an enemy whose icon is 2-3 triangles, and you're in ANYTHING smaller than a heavy fighter, you're probably screwed. That's like taking an X-wing fighter against a Super Star Destroyer and wondering why you lost. The videos in the tutorial page I posted show me fighting other guys, and the video I'll be posting later today will show me killing other guys since the AI got tweaked this patch.

You can attach a hangar to any ship, just make sure it's not overlapping anything. If you meant you bought a "Hangar" in the store to attach to your ship, there aren't hangars available in every store/station. Once you fly around and find other stations you can check their stores to see if they have a hangar (size 3 for you, but you'll need a DCM (size 2) to launch and control the drones as well. If you want a guarantee of having a hangar, use Creative Mode, watch the Drone tutorial so you know how to properly equip the drones so they can actually be launched.

You can't Load any ship when you're in career mode other than the ship you've been using in that galaxy. That's the point of the career mode. If you want to load other ships/workshop ships etc. you need to be in creative mode instead.

I assume in this case you mean the Shift + G doesn't work. If you're not able to use it, then it means your drones are not being controlled and you don't have a DCM on your ship. Please refer to the Drone Tutorial video I referenced above to see how to properly equip your ship to be able to launch drones into space.

I hope that answers all of your questions and concerns. Welcome to the forums :)

The hangar that you start out with in career mode doesn't seem to play ncie with the career shipbuilding (or according to the store i have one to sell anyways), but it doesnt show up in my Hangars tab under any size.

Yeah still can't figure out what to do. feel like demanding my money back, nothing is explained on what to do or anything all I see is red and blue triangles, the enemy ships just do circles around your ship and you get one shot and destoryed, mission log doesn't work...just really unimpressed and very disappointed I wasted 20 bucks on something that doesn't do anything.

You do understand you bought an Early Acces title, right? It's Alpha(or Beta, i dunno) ATM. The AI is not the completed yet (hopefully!).
But truth be told, the universe feels kinda lifeless and I don't know if that could change, judging by how the game works
