Finish date ?
I bought this game many months ago as it looked to have pleanty of potential but I never play early access games cause I feel it destroys the game for me when it comes out offically.

So my question is simply, I heard this game is ALONG way away from being finished. But how long ? Is there any idea when the developers feel they may have this game finished and ready for full release ?

Thanks.

Thanks for your question. Right now we are focusing on creating quality content and bug testing thoroughly prior to having a final product launch date. We will be completed with Kinetic Void during this year (2014) but are not releasing specific quarter/month at this time.
Initially we had to focus on building the back end to the system since our game is a procedurally generated content game, meaning every galaxy is a brand new galaxy and is completely randomized for you. Now that those systems are in place, we are able to start pushing out additional content with each patch.

Its a breath of fresh air to see the developers posting with reponses on the boards and I really appricate it. Keeps my faith in the game :)

Thank you for the reply and look forward to playing many fun filled hours when the game is released.

Keep up the good work.

I know what you mean AbioticViper, I think I have gotten a reply to everything I have posted practically, even my review. One can never say they don't read our posts that is for sure!

Thanks guys, my goal is to always make sure our community feels heard and appreciated. Besides, what's the point of me having the swanky yellow [developer] tag if I don't get to show it off? ;)

Honstly I had lost faith in this game, having purchased it the FIRST time it went on sale months ago.....I never installed it because I want to wait until it is done. HOWEVER.....
The only thing I used for a progress check was the steam forum titles. A little bit...disheartening.

Actually feeling compelled to look inside the threads and see Kaypix talking things out is really motivating. The pressure to start playing it now is becoming less bearable every day....

Duke:

Thanks so much for your support! We are as excited (if not more) as our valued community about upcoming content patches for Kinetic Void. The guys really give 110% for the game, so the least I can do is make sure our players know it.

My goal is to keep everyone informed, let them know their opinions are heard and feedback is appreciated and last but not least, let everyone know that we are sprinting towards the finish line for the final release of Kinetic Void. There will still be bumps (bugs) along the way, but we intend on steamrolling them as we continue moving forward.

Now that I'm thinking about that sad scene from Roger Rabbit, I'm going to sign off before the analogy gets any worse lol.
