I would like to write a glowing review about this game, about how fun it is to kill Nazi Zombies. But I can't.
Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army sounds great when you say it out loud. It looks great written or typed.
While Nazi Zombie Army sounds like a great idea to improve an already great game, it completely fails here. SE:NZA should be a great game, but sadly, it isn't.
Everything that made Sniper Elite fun - is missing. There's no setup, no planning, no eliminating the odd patrolling enemy to get closer to your target, no setting up traps. Its just a 3rd person corridor shooter with a Sniper rifle, 10 mags of ammo, a SMG and 2 spare magazines, and your handgun and a dozen spare mags.
I didn't get to do any real sniping apart from blowing away the odd half dozen Nazi Zombies while moving from horde fight to horde fight. And in those horder fights, I just used partial zoom to blow them away, used the SMG or Shotgun when they got too close, or rounded them into a circle and lobbed a grenade at them.
For a series that revolves around sniping and stealth for its main selling points, NZA doesn't even bother trying to include them into its gameplay. Whats even worse is that I had more fun playing the various Call of Duty zombie survial modes.
Going to leave this brain dead game to rot in a dark corner of my library, and go back to the true Sniper Elite roots.
