Lag on high end laptop

Is anyone having issues with lag on high end gaming laptops? Run every game i own on max with no hiccups or lag
specs:
Windows 7 64 bit
CPU:i7-2670QM
Ram:16gigs
Graphics: GTX 570M
Hard drive is 1 terabyte and runs at 7200 rpm so i doubt it could be the problem

i have a custom gaming desk top i7 3.5ghz windows 8 16gb ram 2tb hard drive GTX660 2gb graphics and i have not had any lag at all on this game. although when you quit sometimes it does freeze for a few secs

Im on an i5, gt650m, and was getting awful frame rate in the first area of the game, between 25/50.. then when i joined a game that started on a different level then the start of the campaign.
and my framerate was up in the 80/90's... i think its the first level with all the fog mess's with the framerate. And before i even noticed this, i read someone else mentioning the exact same issue here in the forums..

Also make sure that super sampling is OFF, it put my framerate to 9fps in the first level.

Check in task manager when your game is running to see if it is on low priority, for some reason mine was set to that by default so I have to set it to normal/high each time I play.

I got a laptop here, a fairly Sony VAIO, Intel i5, AMD HD RADEON 6470M, I brought everything down in graphic options, and I also turned off compute shaders. Indeed, with all that fog and smoke all around, I always get more graphic lag in this mission than any other. I can handle it tho.

Doesnt do anything, after putting it up from low, go back into game and back out again and check again, and its back on low ^^
Does anyone know is there anyway to set the nza.exe to always run on normal priority ?

A 570M is less than half as fast as a desktop equivalent, and mobile CPU's are fairly ordinary in comparitive terms to a desktop ones as are most laptop components / devices.

Even without considering it being a laptop/desktop part, this game is buggy and unoptimized in several regards that shouldn't require such brute force effort on hardware to break through for a smooth experience. I'm able to play the game relatively smoothly sans the first level on almost all max, but no matter what settings I dip down to I will always end up in the single digit framerates when a walking skeleton dissolves. It makes zero sense, the corpse dissolves the same as all the other zombies, but it causes a significant amount of stress on my system.

There's more to the performance issues with this game than simply just saying "oh it's your hardware."

To everyone struggling, i will tell you this game is buggy as hell, my laptop is not the best i would say but is a really good gaming laptop, i have radeon hd 6850m and i can play TOMB RAIDER on high with good 30fps and this game no matter if i play ultra, high, med or low, the first mission when i enter an area where there is fog my frames drop like hell to i would say 10!!! this is very irritating and also when i zoom in with the sniper on this level frames go to less than 15, i def think there are optimization errors on the first level for the zoomin in with sniper into areas where there is fog or stepping into that area!

Can someone try to zoom into an empty area with fog present and see if their frames drop like hell too cause mine do and its irritating i cant enjoy this level at all or some other maps when i encounter this fsake!!

the low priority is another issue as when i change it to high it changes but upon going back to the game and returning back to task manager its set itself to normal which is not helpful! it wont stay on high at all!!

Agreed, but i was assuming OP like most ppl who own a "gaming laptop" was putting details beyond what the intergrated mobile gfx chip can handle, and was trying to let him know that it isn't as fast as one might assume.

The game is far from optimised, but i doubt this will be fixed any time soon the devs are working on other projects.

its the fog on 4 player co-op that kills fast rigs. i have a nice pc but i play at medium settings when playing 4 player. can still play in hdmi but lower settings a touch. for single player you shouldnt lag at all with your lappie. maybe a differnt driver if you still lag? gl

16GB DDR3L RAM 1600MHz 2 Dimm
2GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M
1TB (1024GB) 5400RPM Hard Drive (24 gb mssd acceleration) +external SSD for games (1 TB)

I get strange lag in the game as well. Some games even though NVIDIA says that it's using the High Performance GPU it runs on the Intel HD graphics. (Only if you have discrete graphics) So maybe you have to start the game from the installation directory and right click and run with nivida gpu.
