There's not too much I can say about this game without spoiling the plot and diminishing its emotional impact, but here's what I will say.
This game is relatively simple, as far as mechanics go. It's a basic puzzle/platformer; it isn't too difficult skill-wise, nor will you likely get stumped by any of the puzzle elements. Mechanically it's actually a very easy game - even taking my time and messing up a bit here and there, I still finished it in less than 4 hours. Despite that, it was one of the most difficult games for me to complete on an emotional level.
I really relate to the main character, Quico. What this game lacks in mechanical complexity it completely makes up for in emotional intensity and engagement. It will hit you right in the feels, over and over. It's not hard to tell that this was a very personal subject for the game's main creator, and I think he and the creative team tackled it very well. They have my utmost gratitude for making this game. Honestly, if anyone ever asks me about my relationship with my stepfather, rather than explain it to them with words I could just have them play this game. It definitely goes onto my favorites list, and although I can't say it's one I'll play again anytime soon, I'm very much grateful for the experience it brought me.
