I'm an hour into the game so far.
I quite like it. The music is great, the art design is wonderful, whimsical and fun. Has a mysterious sort of feel that is at the same time, fun and haunting. I found my first play feeling a bit of trepidation. The opening has the creator thank those around him while growing up for helping him live through his childhood.
It's fantastic what this game is doing. It is enabling someone to share an important narrative that is often unheard. Not only through story, spoken or written words but in gameplay. Gameplay serves to communicate the feeling of fear, excitement, paranoia and hope.
This is an accurate portrayal of one persons difficult childood, dealing with abuse and loss. This game rings true and accurate with my own as well. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is curious what it might be like to be scared when a parent gets home. I recommend this game to people who enjoy puzzles and platformers that may be a bit on the simple side but serve to communicate something greater. I recommend this game to people who want more heart and sincerity in their game and less brown, gray and repetitive shooting. I recommend this game to people who want to feel emotions while they play a game.
