Hegemony Rome 2.2.1 Official Release
With all the busyness over the holidays it took a little longer than we hoped, but update 2.2.1 is now officially available for Hegemony Rome. If you haven't been following the beta news, this is a relatively minor update that adds a few new features and fixes a couple issues that arose from the big changes in 2.2 For all the details, check out the change log below.

Never ones to rest on our laurels, work on 2.2.2 is already underway and we hope to have something out to the beta testers in the next week or so. At the moment, our plan for 2.2.2 includes some balance changes to the mercenary system, a few more rare bug fixes, and porting back some AI and naval improvements from our work on the new game.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed bug indicated by 'Can't place AI group' error message
  • Fixed bug producing producing 'Rel pos not valid' error message
  • Fixed several graphical bugs with savegame screenshots
  • Fixed objective bug building warships in chapter 3
  • Fixed bug with 'terrain' or 'marsh' attribute error message
  • Fixed potential scripting problem with bridge dismantling tutorial
  • Fixed objective bug when starting with too few AI factions
  • Fixed savegame bug with 'error linking raid goal' message
  • Fixed missing image for the Parthian Horse Archers in the Advanced Tactics DLC

Modding
  • Added mod examples to enable upgrades for auxiliaries in Roman Sandbox
  • Improved support for modding brigade stats
  • setattribute lua function now supports setting the operator as well as the value

New Stuff
  • New lua screenshot command that supports auto-numbering, hiding the gui and custom resolutions. Type 'commands("screenshot")' into the console for the full syntax
  • New 'ping' animation on the mini-map to highlight combat warnings
  • Increased spawn rate for DLC mercenaries (dlc units are now more likely to appear relative to basic unit types)
