This game is fantastic ...
Just finished this game. I really loved it! I liked the story, characters, setting, and puzzles. I was wondering if anyone can recommend any similar games out there or if the studio is working on anything new?

Well if you haven't played the Classic Lucasarts games already try these. Beneath a Steel sky comes close to the feel of Primordia and is free at gog.com. Im not that much into current Adventures, i prefer the oldschool graphic style that leaves much to your own imagination.

Like Arator says, there are lots of classic games to try. I would recommend Loom, Monkey Island, Beneath a Steel Sky, Quest for Glory, Grim Fandango, and Full Throttle for starter games. And then work out from there.

We are working on some other games, but given how long it took to make Primordia, you should find other diversions to keep you busy for a while. :)

Of what Mark mentioned, Monkey Island is the most accessible as it's a modern remake. It's not similar in theme or style; only genre, but still an amazing work. Quest for Glory[www.gog.com] is one of my favourites of all time, but less accessible by modern standards, so I wouldn't recommend it right away.

Here's my contribution, in personal order of preference:
Machinarium
Gemini Rue
The Blackwell Legacy
The Cat Lady[www.thecatlady.co.uk]
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
Lost Horizon
The Walking Dead
Resonance
A New Beginning
The Book of Unwritten Tales
Broken Sword

Particularly the first 3 have some (varying) things in common with Primordia.

Ah the Broken Sword games, i tend to forget about them when naming great adventures :). Daedalic made some good adventures too, but i think you have enough input for now. To conclude this, if you want something similar to primordia try Machinarium or Beneath a Steel Sky, if you want something different i would highly recommend to start with Monkey Island too.

Oh and i just reminded a few other adventures i liked, Chewy - Escape from F5, Mutation of J. B. and Flight of the Amazon Queen. I don't know if i would still enjoy them if i would play them for the first time now, but i loved them as a child.

Cool. Thanks for the recommendations everyone! I'll be sure to check them out.

I delibereately picked one from every studio I respect. A New Beginning is one of theirs I enjoyed, but perhaps not their ultimate best; I have a couple more on my todo list before I could recommend an alternative. I'm most looking forward to their upcoming "Memoria".

Flight of the Amazon Queen is now free via the SCUMMVM website. I gave up on it very quickly, but perhaps I should give it a second look. If you try it again, let me know if I should too :) Otherwise, I suspect Lost Horizon captures as similar feel; both are obviously Indiana Jones inspired.

A new beginning wasn't their best work so far, made me shake my head a few times while playing. too many cliches in the game, the evil nature hating guy, the whole game was just way over the top. About flight of the amazon queen, it is definitely the best of the 3 named games and i would still play and recommend it, but well it is hard for me to be objective as you can imagine :). I've played it ages ago and for me it will always be one of the good old classic adventure games. Maybe you want to give it another shot.

Edit: So i am going to sneak in another sentence too :) You are right about Flight of the Amazon Queen and Lost Horizon. To be honest it is a pretty cool and intresting setting, catches the "adventure" part of an adventure pretty well. So im fine with games "inspiring" each other as long as the result is good.

Yeah, A New Beginning had its faults and it's lower in my list accordingly, however, still great value at that price imho. p.s. you caught me sneaking in an additional sentence in my last post in case you didn't see it.
