I was worried about that, but I actually found him pretty funny. The dialogue actually reminded me somewhat about Iain M Banks... And come on... "I'm a floating BOMB?!?!?!?!?!..... I'm a floating bomb. SWEET." Fantastic moment for me, I pissed myself laughing.

In all seriousness, sorry he's annoying you so much. He does fade back a bit in the later parts of the game, but probably not enough to help you.

He's pretty divisive. I'd say about 20% of reviewers didn't like him, and rated the game down. "Worst thing ever put in a video game" seems a bit much, though. What about the falcons in Ninja Gaiden?!

Haha, the pleasure is all mine. When I started the game I figured it would be extremely serious. Especially since I read The Fallen before I started playing the game. But much like Morte in Planescape, Crispin has livened things up quite a bit and I have sincerely enjoyed it!

The whole story so far has been enjoyable and the game itself too. I have very limited experience with adventure games and this has been a good introduction.

Im 27 and i love it. Even my father still likes to play Adventure games and he likes it too. i can't see your point. Every good adventure has humor like that, even indiana jones made jokes like "im selling these fine leather jackets" while fighting nazis. I could only guess that you are in the age where you try too hard to be an adult, maybe around 16-18. Everyone was in that phase sometimes. If you are not, no offense meant.

Plenty of people found Crispin insufferable. I don't think it's because something's wrong with the original poster in the thread. Humor is very subjective, and even aside from that, Crispin has some objectively bad lines. Of course I don't agree with the OP, but it's not a crazy view.

Hm... For me, the game would've lost half of its charm without Crispin - he really makes that party alive :) And his sole presence adds to the BaSS-like atmosphere, too, which gives me an additional nostalgic kick. But tastes differ.
