I learned that key presses lead to bans both legitimately and falsely. I was falsely banned in ISS over a month ago and had no luck dealing with ISS over it. I recently was banned in DayZ and learned it was due to key presses-not related to hacking- and my game reinstated. I messaged ArtemisKnives- newly appointed public relations/former streamer- with this new to me information which clears up my confusion over being banned in ISS and this was his response "... Stop wasting your time. I don't know what other game you are playing that bans for keypresses rofl." I then went to PunkBuster's web site to learn that they do use keybinding as a way to identify hackers. I sent ArtemisK. a message labelled PB uses keybinding to identify hackers. He has refused to read this. Initially, I was very upset over the ban but I have had more fun trying to teach AretmisK. about hack detecting, reading logs, and checking stats especially when there is no clear indication of what type of hack was being used. Because none was being used. My turn to ROFL.

the worst part about it is they will do nothing to help people out over there because not one person knows how to use any of the tools that are put infront of them .....kewk only knows how to push the ban button ... like a 2 year old trying to force a square threw a round whole .... and art doesnt care about any body but him self ......then you got toxic that bans people from forums for nothing ....... just cut your losses now .......artimisknves knows all about hacker ...... thats all he would stream with .......

im not saying you are a hacker ...... im saying these people at scammerpoint unproduction ....are just trash in my opinion...... i was banned once to for nothing besides killing kewk .... so i know what you are talking about

Awesome, another well written, thought provoking thread.

I really don't know what the point of your post is. The only conclusion I came to after reading all... that... is that you found out (the hard way, apparently) that the use of third-party assistance to press keys in game for you is bannable. And that you're upset.

I personally have no idea why you would need to make a keybind for Infestation, unless you're one of those people who require a bandage macro to stay alive, in which case I'm glad you were banned since using a program to assist you in bandaging faster than you yourself can would be cheating.

Seriously, what other activities in the game are worth shortcutting via keybinds? MAYBE equipping your attachments if you're extremely lazy? Most of the reasons I can think of for "needing" a keybind/macro are pvp related and/or to gain an advantage over other players (something like switching out primary/secondary weapons very quickly).

Regardless of your reasons, why did you feel the need to start this thread? Nobody here can do anything about your ban. You clearly dislike the game and it's developers, so, uh, go play something else?

to P H D i think he is trying to bring it to other peoples attention that they can be banned for doing nothing that is wrong ... while artimis can adjust his gama to give other players a blue ring around them . with out getting banned. he is simply warning people not to buy a game that is this broken and will never be fixed . because the people there would be lucky if they could tie there own shoes..

If you're using a third party program to gain an advantage over other players, that is wrong, and you deserve a ban.

As to the OP's rant about the competency of the Hammerpoint staff, I can't really speak to that, as, interestingly enough, I haven't been banned for "nothing".

i was banned before for eather killing kewk or using play six the dayz downloader .....they ban legit people ... go watch some streams of artimis knives. he tells kewk who to ban and you can can here kewk say just banned him ...... but yet artimis knives plays with dark linux . the creator of rei ..... he is the one telling art were all the people are ........ hp is a joke ....... i hear the FBI is trying to get a search wourent for arts stoumach ..... that way they can get sergays dna ...

Artemis knows full well about hack programs. He's played with hackers the entire time he's been in the game and he himself uses lesser cheats. (exploiting bugs/glitches) But he's their poster boy (for some stupid reason) so none of it applies to him.
