This game is rediculus, it drops you off in the middle of nowhere with pretty much nothing but a flashlight and a bag of potato chips. Its suppose to take place several years after a zombie apocalypse and you have apparently survived and all you have is a flashlight really. To top things off all of the settlements are completely infested so you have a hell of a time getting any gear, and to make things better everything is pvp so no one helps you out they will kill you for your flashlight, and since you cant store anything without spending even more cash you pretty much start over every time. Out of 5 stars I gave this game the "I want my money back" 1 star.

Maybe they need to make it more obvious that there is a free trial to save people still wasting their money.

You're insanely idiotic. It spawns you in a random spot so you're not spawn killed. You have Soda, Granola Bar, Bandages, and a Flashlight to defend yourself. It takes place several years after, yes, but pretend it just begun, as you just bought the game. All of the settlements are not completely infested. Shrute Farm, Smallville, and Clearview have barely any zombies and have tier 2-3 loot (Guns, Melees, etc) If you get a stronger melee weapon or a gun, you can kill more zombies to get better loot. Yes you can store stuff, you must go to a safe zone, though. You complain about it being unrealistic, but you want to store things where you are? You're too stupid to insult. I hope to find you in the game, as I look forward to killing your ignorant ass.

Of course you start with next to nothing, otherwise what would be the point of trying to find things? If you are looking for an "in game" reason for the gear you start with then how about this: It is several years after the apocalypse and you have spent all of that time hiding from the zombies and using what stores of supplies you had before hand. Now you have run out of supplies and are finally forced to start scavenging for survival.

This is just purely false. You have unlimited free storage at your vault in the safe zones.

I should have added that there is nothing wrong with not liking the game. But it honestly sounds like you should just stay away from this genre (Zombie Survival), because everything you complained about are pretty much core features of it. Again there is nothing wrong with that, that is why there are so many different types of games out there.

Just be aware of what you do and don't like. For instance it wouldnt really be fair for me to critique a MLB Baseball game because I can't stand baseball or baseball games, the core concepts behind them are unappealing to me.

The only thing there I disagree with is that we really should start with an *actual* melee weapon. I don't want realism in games, but I do want it to follow it's own created lore. If it's been 5 years and you have batteries for a flashlight, but no real weapon, it feels goofy to me.

You know Caedo, there was a debate on these forums about that about a month back, and I ended up changed my position on it and agree with you.

Since you only get those starter weapons for the first life of your first five characters I see nothing wrong with starting you off with a decent melee weapon like the combat knife. It's a good all around melee weapon, but not the best, it's pretty common also. Once those first few lives are gone you start with nothing, but starting with a decent weapon could help to ease the transition for a new player and help them get a better feel for the game, while at the same time doing nothing to destroy the balance of the game (you will still need better melee weapons, and more of them for when you run out of the starter inventory). So yes I agree with your point.

why so much hate 4 this game?I mean its a good survival game,not great but fun & I like that u lose ur stuff when u die,it makes it more realistic- no? and settlements are completely infested --that is the name of the game!
