Stuff falling through the world
Walking out of a safe zone with a friend, got killed by a player and all my gear dropped on the ground: no problem. My friend then kills the attacker: awesome!

When the attackers gear falls out and lands on my gear, all but 2 items fall through the world and are instantly lost. I saw it happen on my friend's screen (we were lanned). So even though my friend was there and had backpace space to recover my gear and was only 30 yards away when I died, he could recover nothing of mine.

I have no idea what the attacker had. The only thing left of his was a scar rifle. I lost everything. Military pack, nvg helmet, armor, weapons, etc I was wearing my good stuff but it would be frustrating any time.

Losing stuff to dying is fine. It's part of the game. Losing stuff to the game being unable to keep track of more than 5 things at once on the ground is not fair and really, really, really dampens one's desire to play.

Please fix this! Happened just south of castle pine.

I have seen this happen before when gear either lands on a body or a body lands on gear. try it out with something useless like a bag of chips. Stand over a dead zombie and drop the chips right above it, it will fall into the earth and be irretrieveable. A couple of weeks ago I was fighting a guy who ambushed me on my way to link up with a friend. I ran out of ammo, pulled out a nade, pulled the pin, but just then my friend came over the hill and shot the attacker. I threw the primed nade where the enemy body was, it fell through the ground, and exploded underground lol

These glitches are part and parcel of the game its sad but true. They know this but obviously can fix this major bug.

that issue has been in game since Day 1...

It's the reason things didn't sit on the ground for most if this game's life. They 'hovered' so they wouldn't fall through things.
