California was just a stunt. They said they would be coming out with another map but have no proof they are actually working on it. This bought them enough time to adjust the current Colorado map and make it look slightly different.
They can then pass it off as just an updated map and then "work" on the next one.
Bottom line is, it most likely won't happen before this game dies.
No, I really hope CO2 is soon but CA is maybe a wee bit further off and 2016 may not be wrong at all. LOL
I haven't told a single person that it is wrong to hate the game. The game, with all its faults, can be enjoyed if you know how. I have gotten a fair amount of joy out of it myself.
But what is wrong is when people go out and defend the company itself.
I highly doubt this game will still be alive in 2016. There are few games that last years and years without some kind of sequel to them.
As for being stupid with their money. Sergey himself took a trip to Vegas for several nights with friends not too long ago. Not only that, but now they're organising 30 people from the US to travel to Vegas with them for a short time. Talk about spending money the wrong way.
If you spent only $3 on the game of course you are going to get your money's worth out of it. You only spent a small amount.
we are back to this old point again.
at $3.74 what is there to complain about. at $50 or $60 I'm glad you can (and do) obviously see what the gripe with the company is. Most people who bought this in a steam sale can't grasp that concept.
I agree that they have recently made some changes that improve the core game. Some have been quite surprising, such as the GC/Cash shop issues which Titov has now acknowledges plays a huge part in the hacking problem.
But it is not even got 10% of the promised content, before it degenerated into a PvP shooter due to the fact there was nothing else to do in the game because of the lack of features, promised or otherwise.
And Trial accounts. So from now on there is no way anybody can buy this game on steam and then have any excuse to say they have been ripped off, particularly when they can try it for free first.
And all of us with pioneer or legend accounts (pre order buyers) have apparently been upgraded to Premium game accounts. (LOL we just need a premium game to go with it)
So fair's fair, you can credit them with that.
If you like it as a PvP shooter thats fine. Thats what you knowingly bought.
But hundreds of thousands of stronghold servers are still owed to pre-order buyers. They paid for servers in their package up front some of us now almost a year ago.
If this company can make available that huge number of private servers for which they have already taken the money, it'll be a very big surprise. And they'll be using our $50 or $60 dollar payments to develop your $3.74 shooter.
