This game is WarZ!

There has been a lot of people that didn't noticed that this game is actually WarZ, so I just wanted to give a heads up for those that didn't know.

No problem, the Metacritic score was removed too and the devs are also removing threads regarding the change of name, so this thread will probably be removed sooner or later.

Not being sneaky. They lost the liscence rights to the War Z name and had to rename the game. Or something to that effect.

was getting ready to vote for it for the discount. clicked link, saw that I could buy gold credits, went to see if game was pay 2 win, looks like they just renamed warZ after The War Z movie guys tried sueing em.

To lose the right, they would've had to have it in the first place. They changed the name to "prevent confusion" with World War Z ie they were deathly afraid Paramount would sue them out of existence for trademark infringement. If they were so big on avoiding confusion, they wouldn't have conceptually camped on the DayZ brand in the first place.

Somewhat right, somewhat not. They filed for a trademark, but it was AFTER Paramount did. They knew their rights were suspended in favor of Paramount last year, but they waited as long as humanly possible and it was getting to the point of a lawsuit because of it.
