I Like it so far.

It's hard to trust anyone. But I don't think it's impossible. The atmosphere is chilling and I like the zombies more than the people...because I KNOW what they want. I am focusing on the RPG aspect, because I'm solo, it is interesting. I think this could be a very good game with a few changes...but I've only played for 20 hours or so I don't quite know what those changes should be.
Anybody else feel the same way?

Sadly these forums are drowning in hate though, torch and pitchfork mob is raging and burning everything in their way.
Lots of lies and internet nonsense, but after all is said and done, this game is a lot of fun if you're man enough for it.

Good! As long as I am having a good game experience, I have no problem. But isn't that always the way? I wonder if some of the hackers are actually using hatebots? LOL!

Companies are compain-ees. they need profit, they don't look forward sometimes, like EA, ATARI, others, they look at this as a product, they don't care if you like it or not as long as you buy it...the point I make is, if I, you, or anyone is enjoying the game, then they have succeeded.

Well lets start with the idea of War Z. It LITERALLY came from DayZ and anyone who says otherwise is stupid. Roman, also known as RussinaKaliber, posted the idea for War Z (without the name though) on the Day Z mod forums and how they would port War Inc over to help make it.

After that we have the false promises of many features in the game including strongholds which people spent up to $80 for 6 months free. They never received their strongholds and won't anytime soon (because Hammerpoint can't afford to host that many for free) and have begun banning legendary accounts without cause.

Continuing on, we have the so called "apology" letter that Sergey sent to all players at the time. The letter was an insult to all customers as it essentially stated "We are sorry that you misread information on the steam store page".

Need I go on?

They lie, mislead, false advertise, etc. Everything about them is just plain WRONG.

As for the game, it's basically just collateral damage at this point.

I am one of the players that asked and got a refund when this first came on Steam.
I didnt know about people paying $80 and not getting what they paid for.
I dont know anything about banning legendary accounts for no reason.
Something about this game is wrong and its not only the company, its also the players.
There is no dialogue.
In other games when people have a problem they state it clearly in detail, and usually the devs reply also clearly, even if they lock the thread with the usual comment: take it to customer support, dont bring it to the forums.
Here all i see is incoherent hate posts and an angry mob that doesnt want to give a chance to these devs to redeem themselves....
I know they started on the wrong foot, they have done something terribly wrong and stupid, they decided to be dishonest when they had so many honest tools at their disposal....but still....they paid the price so lets give them an efin break see what they do with it.

Actually if you were on the old forums you would have seen people posting constructive criticism all day.

What happened when they did though is mind blowing.

People were being banned left right and centre for posting ANYTHING (yes I mean anything) that put ANY kind of negative connotation on the game. It didn't matter how constructively or politely they wrote it. If it had something negative about the game in it, it was removed and you were banned.

And so they essentially molded their own community into what it is today.

Most of the contructive and polite people left and the community is now a bunch of incoherent babble from either kids who don't know anything of what they're talking about or completely immature adults who are either trolling or complete idiots.


So THIS is the reason why you see so much blind hate and unconstructive feedback.

The reason they STILL get the hate is because they STILL do all of that on their new forums and they still utilise their poor business practices.

I have to say its one of the best games under 4 euros I have bought.

-It really needs PvE servers puplic.
-It really needs a new map.
-Hackkers must "die".
-It would be interesting to have a player based trading network where players would put item to sell and anyone could buy it by giving something in return.
-Missions would be nice ,like saving survivors from zombie horde, all participant would get a revard etc.



It has potential but dont know will it ever deliver. It's sad that Hammerpoint messed up their reputation.

The game itself can be enjoyable, even if it's half-a$$ed. But the devs don't deseve a second chance. Sergey has already screwed up enough times, he's has PLENTY of second chances, now he may as well be slapping every gamer on steam in the face.

i also like it quite a lot too. so far plays, runs, looks and sounds great. loads of fun to play. haven't had any problems to speak of. and never have had problems with hackers and only been killed once by another player. and thanksfully there are lots of free private servers to join and play on without worrying about others. also, looks like the devs have been plugging away at it. a real bargain for under $4.
